Hebrews Part 3

We are beginning another chapter in Hebrews here, the book of Hebrews written to those people of Israel who were scattered all over the world, having that basis of the Word of God, the law and the prophets, or the Old Testament. They the Hebrews, or the people who had crossed over the river Jordan, the meaning of the word, as they went into Babylon, or captivity. Today remember the Word of God is for all peoples, nations, and languages as:

Acts 9:15 “But the Lord said unto him, “Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:”
Gentiles (Strong’s 1484) a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe; specific a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually by implication pagan); Gentile, heathen, nation, people.

The Word of God was to be taught to the Gentiles, meaning all nations not from Israel, and their election, or their kings and queens, as well as the nation of Israel, by this vessel, Paul, God used to further the Word of God. Most of the New Testament God used Paul to write that we have to this day. Let’s continue along here, in Chapters 1 and 2 learning that through the Son of God, Jesus Christ, defeating death, who is the devil as in Hebrews 2:14, and all things are under Him as in Hebrews 2:7. Jesus took on a flesh Body, not too good to come to this earth in the flesh, that way nobody could say He does not understand what we all go through here, as He easily could have come in an Angelic Body, but came through the family of Abraham as in Hebrews 2:16. He was tempted, living in the flesh, but did it perfectly, showing us the way as in Hebrews 2:18. Now let’s get into Chapter 3:

Hebrews 3:1 “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;”
Hebrews 3:2 “Who was faithful to Him That appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all His house.”
calling (Strong’s 2821) an invitation; calling; (a shorter form of Strong’s 2564)to call (aloud); bid
profession (Strong’s 3671) acknowledgement; confession; professed; (from same as Strong’s 3670) to assent, I.e. covenant, acknowledge, confess, profess, confession is made, give thanks, promise.

The heavenly calling, meaning many are invited out loud, as we have the entire Word of God available to anyone. Listen not to my words, or the words or religion or church doctrines, but the Word of God and hear Him. When we consider, pay attention to that Word of God, the Apostle, meaning the One Who was sent forth to give it to us, and HE, being that High Priest, remember Lord of lords, of Revelation 19:15, we are going directly to the Source, the Bible, or the Word of God. Not some indirect way as through word of mouth as from some religion, some church doctrines, some church leader, priest, pope, bishop, reverend, no, but directly to the Word of God. The word profession, meaning the Word of God that is professed, or prophesied by God's servants, His prophets, we have that profession. We are working to plant those seeds of God's Word, that HE sends us out. The LORD God always faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ, His Son, as remember:

I Corinthians 10:11 “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”
I Corinthians 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
I Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
I Corinthians 10:14 “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”

All of these things, these events that happened to the people of Israel, are a witness to us today, as we are at the end of this world age. We may think we know everything by our own life’s experiences, those are good, but when it comes to God’s Word we need to know it, knowing where God has foretold us what will happen at the end as it is the same as it was in the beginning. Nothing new. Again, there is no sin out there that some person has gone through in the flesh, and the Word of God will give you a way out. Especially when it comes to salvation or our spiritual life, not worshipping Satan when he comes before Jesus at the sixth trumpet, vial and seal of Revelation 13:18 as his number is six, six and six, coming before the seventh trumpet of Revelation 11:15 in which Jesus returns. That’s whey we need to stay away from religious idolatry, church doctrines or any teaching not founded on God’s Word. Then as here which this verse in Hebrews 3:2 is quoted from:

Numbers 12:1 “And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.”
Numbers 12:2 “And they said, “Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? Hath He not spoken also by us?” And the LORD heard it.”

Miriam and Aaron, Moses’ sister and brother, were talking back to Moses for marrying Zipporah, an Ethiopian lady, and were wondering hey, God spoke to us too? Why aren’t we in charge or leading the people? That’s how Satan works, trying to destroy a good work that God is doing in the church, or the many membered Body of Christ, and these are people really trying to do the right thing. God speaking directly to both of them! Saying this could happen to anyone of us, not condemning them, for we as people, have to watch out for these like this. As here Mose’s wife, her dad was a Midianite priest, and he and his family lived in the land of Ethiopia, they were not native to that country. As here:

Exodus 2:16 “Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.”
Exodus 2:21 “And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter,”
Exodus 3:1 “Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.”

The Midianite priest gave Moses his daughter Zipporah to marry. He was from the family of Abraham by way of Keturah, Abraham’s third wife, as he had Sarah and Hagar, here:

Genesis 25:1 “Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.”
Genesis 25:2 “And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.”

So Jethro, this Midianite priest, he and his family were not from the people of Israel as well. Just like we live here in the United States many of us our ancestors are from all over the world, some of us with parents with two backgrounds like me, my dad he is a Palestinian Arab, and my mom, she is of Scottish and English descent. The point is that Moses’s wife Zipporah is from the same people as Moses, his sister Miriam, and his brother Aaron, so they had no point to argue with Moses or question Almighty God, Who Moses is listening to! Then moving along here:

Numbers 12:6 “And He said, “Hear now My words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make Myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.”
Numbers 12:7 “My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all Mine house.”
Numbers 12:8 “With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?”
dark speeches (Strong’s 2420) a puzzle; trick, conundrum, or hard question, sententious maxim or moralistic sayings, hard question, riddle.

Then the LORD God, Himself, responds here and He’s not very happy! He says if there is a prophet, that HE will make you aware of it. Not in some trick or moralistic sayings or accusations like they are doing to Moses! No, but a very clear message from God. God knew HE could trust Moses, talking to Him face to face, and came as the Angel of the LORD why Moses later had to wear a veil amongst the people for they could not hold that glory of God when He went among them. By Moses’s actions in the first earth age, this shows that the LORD God really could trust Moses, a very elect man, by the responsibilities he held, and the good LORD Jehovah could trust Him to His will, not Moses’s will. Then let’s also go here, another point in Hebrews 3:1 we are all partakers of the heavenly calling, which this is not some “altar call” or some bishop, priest, pastor, or church leader calling you to serve in their church. No way! But rather the calling from the Lord directly as here we have this parable from Jesus’ mouth:

Matthew 22:1 “And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,”
Matthew 22:2 “The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,”
Matthew 22:3 “And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.”
Matthew 22:4 “Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, ‘Tell them which are bidden, ‘Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.’’
Matthew 22:5 “But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:”
Matthew 22:6 “And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.”
Matthew 22:7 “But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent fort his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.”
Matthew 22:8 “And saith he to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.”
Matthew 22:9 “Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.’”
Matthew 22:10 “So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.”
Matthew 22:11 “And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:”
Matthew 22:12 “And he saith unto him, ‘Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.”
Matthew 22:13 “Then said the king to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’”

The certain king, symbolic for Almighty God, and His Son, Jesus Christ, whose wedding is the second advent, when He returns to this earth setting up His permanent kingdom here on this earth as in Zechariah 14:4. Then the servants, the prophets, the apostles, then also the preachers, pastors and teachers of God’s Word, all of God’s people that serve Him God has sent the Word of God through them to give His children the message of His Word. Some people make fun of the Word of God. We see this to this day if you even mention the word “Christian” or “Bible” or even “God” sometimes, or offending some people. Many going back to their flesh lives, working on their farms, back to their business or their career, putting God’s Word aside. The remnant here are the Kenites, the sons of Cain, who we will get to Jesus taught us they killed many of the prophets, then tried and look real “religious” putting up memorials for them! Two faced people, right! Then the LORD God saying to all of us that serve Him, sending out the message to the People, not our words, but the Word of God, His invitation, His message. Then when Jesus comes some will not have a wedding garment, which is the righteous actions as here:

Revelation 19:7 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.”
Revelation 19:8 “And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”

The wife, as meaning God’s election, for they are already spiritually married, or judged, as they did not worship Satan in the first earth age. Then when Satan comes in this flesh age before Jesus, and people worship him, remember the majority of this final generation their number as the sand of the sea as in Revelation 20:8. They then will not have righteous actions on, or that wedding garment. Then The LORD God will say they cannot get into the kingdom. That is during that one thousand years, or the Lord’s Day, remember as in II Peter 3:8, one day is as one thousand with the Lord, period, and that will be very unfortunate for them. They will not be able to go directly to the Lord Jesus as the overcomers will, and will be taught discipline of God’s Word, as in Luke Chapter 16, the rich man who could not pass over the gulf, that’s how it will be. Also here the five virgins that they did not have enough oil in their lamps, meaning enough truth, or the Word of God to wait until the second advent, then worshipping Satan, who will come first as we have been over several times, in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 as here:

Matthew 25:1 “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.”
Matthew 25:2 “And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.”
Matthew 25:3 “They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:”
Matthew 25:4 “But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.”
Matthew 25:5 “While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.”
Matthew 25:6 “And at midnight there was a cry made, ‘Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go yet out to meet him.”
Matthew 25:7 “Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.”
Matthew 25:8 “And the foolish said unto the wise, ‘Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.’”
Matthew 25:9 “But the wise answered, saying, ‘Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.’”
Matthew 25:10 “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.”
Matthew 25:11 “Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, ‘lord, lord, open to us.’”
Matthew 25:12 “But he answered and said, ‘Verily I say unto you, I know you not.’”
Matthew 25:13 “Watch therefore for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”
Oil (Strong’s 1637) olive oil; (from Strong’s 1636) an olive (the tree or the fruit); (The word El ah Yah or Jah in Hebrew)

The five virgins without the Word of God, for they rely on what their church or their pastor, or religious leader teaches them, that they don’t understand God’s Word, or that they’ll be “raptured away”, when God is against those that teach His people to fly away as in Ezekiel 13:20. The door will be shut, meaning for the Lord’s Day, or the thousand years, in which you have to put up with Satan’s torment during that time period, unable to go directly to the Lord directly. Make it this time around, stick with God’s Word and be successful. Not to my words, or any church’s words, but this is the Lord Jesus Christ speaking here in Matthew 25. Let’s first go to where the remnant, or those sons of Cain, killed those prophets:

Matthew 23:29 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,”
Matthew 23:30 “And say, ‘If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’”
Matthew 23:31 “Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.”
Matthew 23:32 “Fill ye up them the measure of your fathers.”
Matthew 23:33 “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?”
Matthew 23:34 “Wherefore, behold, I sent unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:”
Matthew 23:35 “That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the Temple and the altar.”
Matthew 23:36 “Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.”
Matthew 23:37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”
Matthew 23:38 “For I say unto you, Ye shall not see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, ‘Blessed is He That cometh in the name of the LORD.’”
generation (Strong’s 1081) offspring; by analogy produce; (from Strong’s 1080) to procreate (properly of the father, or mother); to regenerate, bear, beget, born, conceive.

These are the sons of Cain, or the Kenites, that say they are Jews but are of the synagogue of Satan both in Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9. They are the Genesis 3:15, the serpent’s seed, meaning the devil’s children, literally by way of his son Cain. Jesus then calling them serpents, giving us this clue as they are Satan’s children. They try and mix in with the people of Judah and call themselves Jews, but are really sons of Cain. They persecute all of God’s people of Israel, the prophets, bringing the Word of God, as they were persecuting then by their hand, Jesus was crucified by them! They killed many of the prophets, as Zechariah, from the book of Zechariah, all the way back to Abel, Cain’s half-brother who murdered him! Why? Because Satan did not want the first prophesy of God’s Word Genesis 3:15 to happen, where the head of the serpent, meaning Satan, would perish or be fully destroyed. Satan plants his child, Cain, to destroy Jesus, the woman’s Seed, Who did come. Jesus is telling us this here very plainly! As here:

Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.”
enmity (Strong’s 342) hostility; enmity; hatred; (from Strong’s 340) to hate (as one of an opposite tribe or party); hence to be hostile, be an enemy.
seed (Strong’s 2233) seed, figuratively fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity, child, (from Strong’s 2232) to sow, to disseminate, plant, fructify, bear, conceive seed, set with, sow or yield.

Jesus’ heel was bruised when the sons of Cain, the Kenites, who claimed they were from the house of Judah or Jews, and screamed:

Luke 23:20 “Pilate therefore, wiling to release Jesus, spake again to them.”
Luke 23:21 “But they cried, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him.”
Luke 23:22 “And he said unto them the third time, “Why, what evil hath He done? I have found no cause of death in Him: I will therefore chastise Him, and let Him go.”

By the devil’s children’s hand, then was Jesus crucified, fulfilling the first half of Genesis 3:15, the heel of the woman’s, Eve’s, Seed, Jesus was bruised. That’s okay, God will destroy fully, meaning totally blot out of existence Satan, as here in:

Revelation 20:10 “And the devil that deceived them was cast in to the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

We need to get through this flesh age and then the thousand years, for those that are in that number who is as the sand of the sea, or Revelation 20:8, who will be deceived by Satan in the flesh. Stick with the Word of God and let Him teach you. Moving along here:

Hebrews 3:3 “For this Man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.”
Hebrews 3:4 “For every house is builded by some man; but He That built all things is God.”

Then this Man, Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father’s Son, was more worthy, by Him giving His life for our sins, dying a very painful death on the cross that we have the opportunity to overcome in the flesh. Every house, meaning every church or temple, or synagogue, or religion or church system, all of those organizations are man-made, but the Word of God, Jesus Christ, is that Temple of God as here:

Revelation 21:22 “And I saw no Temple therein: for the LORD God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.”

The LORD God Almighty and The Lamb, Jesus Christ are the Temple of that eternal kingdom. Why base your understanding on men’s teachings, church doctrine and religion, when we have the Word of God, that Temple, available to us all in the Word of God! Then let’s go here regarding this here:

Matthew 26:59 “Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus to put Him to death;”
Matthew 26:60 “But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses.”
Matthew 26:61 “And said, “This fellow said, ‘I am sable to destroy the Temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”
Matthew 26:62 “And the high priest arose, and said unto Him, “Answerest Thou nothing? What is it which these witness against Thee?”
Matthew 26:63 “But Jesus held His peace. And the high priest answered and said unto Him, “I adjure Thee by the living God that Thou tell us whether Thou be the Christ, the Son of God.”
Matthew 26:64 “Jesus saith unto him, “Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”
Matthew 26:65 “Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, “He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now ye have heard His blasphemy.”
Matthew 26:66 “What think ye?” They answered asnd said, “He is guilty of death.”
Matthew 26:67 “Then did they spit in His face, and buffeted Him; and other smote Him with the palms of their hands,”
Matthew 26:68 “Saying, “Prophesy unto us, Thou Christ, Who is he that smote Thee?”

These chief priests, elders and the religious councils of the Pharisees and Sadducees, by their fruit, meaning their actions, we see they are of the synagogue of Satan. They are the sons of Cain, or Kenites, who were used by the Jews, or Judah, as scribes to bring forward God’s Word:

I Chronicles 2:55 “And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.”
Kenites (Strong’s 7017) A Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin; (paternal ancestor from Strong’s 7014) Kajin, the name of the first child, an Oriental tribe; Cain; (same as Strong’s 7013) a lance (as striking fast); spear; (from Strong’s 6969 in the sense of fixity) to strike a musical note, i.e. chant or wail (at a funeral), lament.

They had mixed in so much with the Jews, and then claimed to be Jews, but in reality as we just got into, they are the serpent’s seed, or the offspring of Satan, or the sons of Cain. They here were put into position by the Roman government, not at the commandment of God, as the Levitical priests were only from the people of Israel, from the tribe of Levi. They then trying to dispute Jesus’ statement that He would rebuild the Temple, meaning His Body we will see. Then here they are spitting on Him, hitting Him from behind, and then saying then prophesy and say which one of us hit You! Can you even imagine this what they were doing to Jesus! They Jesus says you say that I am the Son of God, you are the accusers, not Me! Then Jesus says as it will be at the second advent, that Jesus just as we learned in Psalms 110:1 will sit on the right hand of Almighty God and so will all of us! Then as the Word of God had foretold us, God’s Word going down exactly as He had told us beforehand, Jesus was crucified. Then let’s go here:

Matthew 27:39 “And they that passed by reviled Him, wagging their heads,”
Matthew 27:40 “And saying, “Thou That destroyest the Temple, and buildest it in three days, save Thyself. If Thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

While Jesus is bleeding, dying on the cross, they are continually mocking Him, these sons of Cain calling themselves “Jews” but are not. They then ask come down from that cross if you can rebuild that Temple in three days. They just were blinded to the truth, for they are were the Kenites, the sons of Cain, claiming to be from the people of Judah. Then also here:

John 2:18 “Then answered the Jews, and said unto Him, “What sign shewest Thou unto us, seeing that Thou doest these things?”
John 2:19 “Jesus answered and said unto them, “Destroy this Temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
John 2:20 “Then said the Jews, “Forty and six years was this Temple in building, and wilt Thou rear it up in three days?”
John 2:21 “But He spake of the Temple of His body.”

The Temple of His Body is what He is talking about. Not some building, just as today so many look to religion and to their church for information. Where we need to pay attention only to is the Word of God. Remember as in II Thessalonians Chapter 2, the subject the return of Jesus and how we get back to Him, is here:

II Thessalonians 2:10 “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”
II Thessalonians 2:11 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
II Thessalonians 2:12 “That they all might be damned who believed, not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

If you want to continue to listen to church doctrine or religion, then God, Himself, will send strong delusion to you, if you want to keep hearing those lies, and the simple, truth of His Word. Then moving along here:

Hebrews 3:5 “And Moses verily was faithful in all His house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;”
Hebrews 3:6 “But Christ as a Son over His own house; Whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.”

Again, if we want to show our faith, we have to completely trust, hold fast the confidence in His Word, alone, not mixed in with men’s traditions and in church doctrines, but strictly in the Word of God, otherwise, remember, God, Himself, will send us strong delusion. That way making it more difficult to know God’s Word, for if we rely on man, or religion or some church system, and not His Word, we will be along with the majority who will be worshipping Satan when he comes before Jesus in our very near future, as we live in the Mark 13:28 generation of the fig tree, the last generation of this flesh age, began in May 1948, when Israel became a nation. When both the good figs, the people of Judah or the Jews, along with the synagogue of Satan of Revelation 2:9 and 3:9, the sons of Cain, who say they are Jews, in Jeremiah 24 as His Word had told us hundreds of years prior to this happening in our day. We can rest on the Truth of His Word, not my words, or any person’s or church’s words, always checking out the teacher or the religious leader who is teaching you with the Word of God yourself. Go back to the original languages, and go chapter by chapter and verse by verse, follow both the subject and the object spoken of that way you are responsible for your own belief, as we all are. Then moving on here:

Hebrews 3:7 “Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, “To day if ye will hear His voice,”
Hebrews 3:8 “Harden not our hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:”
Hebrews 3:9 “When your fathers tempted Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years.”
Hebrews 3:10 “Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, Thy do always err in their heart; and they have not known My ways.”
Hebrews 3:11 “So I sware in My wrath, They shall not enter into My rest.”)”

Here God is using Paul to quote from here:

Psalms 95:8 “Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Psalms 95:9 “When your fathers tempted Me, proved Me, and save My work.”
Psalms 95:10 “Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, And said, “It is a People that do err in their heart, And they have not known My ways:”
Psalms 95:11 “Unto whom I sware in My wrath That they should not enter into My rest.”

Just like the people of Israel going from slavery in Egypt, God leading them through the wilderness, covering them from the sun by day, His light at night:
Exodus 13:21 “And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:”
Exodus 13:22 “He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the People.”

Just think God shaded them by His cloud during the day from the hot, desert heat, and then at night providing them light when they camped. This is what happened as God saying as He grieved with that generation of people. Right here they wanted water, after God had provided them with the manna, or the angels’ food, and the quail for meat to sustain them, here:

Exodus 17:4 “And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, “What shall I do unto this People? They be almost ready to stone me.”
Exodus 17:5 “And the LORD, said unto Moses, “Go on before the People, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the River, take in thine hand, and go.”
Exodus 17:6 “Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the People may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.”
Exodus 17:7 “And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us, or not?”

Even after the LORD God opening up the Red Sea for them to cross over, and the many, many miracles He did like their clothing never rotted away, nor their feet became achy from walking so many miles. They were ready to stone Moses, so he says if you are with us God, prove it, then striking the rock twice for the water! After God had foretold Moses that HE would provide them water. Even a servant like Moses, we will all fall short in the flesh, just a lesson, someone that talked face to face with God. So it’s very critical that we only pay attention to the Word of God, or we can easily be lead astray in the flesh by Satan. Then moving along here:

Hebrews 3:12 “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”
Hebrews 3:13 “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
Hebrews 3:14 “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;”
Hebrews 3:15 “While it is said, “To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.”

We cannot pray to God and then not expect Him to take action right? We have to have that total faith, love and trust in Him, not in ourselves, as we all will error. Putting the LORD God first, putting His Word into our minds so we aren’t mislead. For we live in a critical generation when Satan will come before Jesus, we need the Word of God, to know God’s plan, not a church’s plan, but what His Word tells us. Even for every day life, the Word of God, puts life into our flesh bodies, renewing our minds, giving us hope and peace of mind. That way God can use us to encourage our family, our friends, new people that HE puts into our paths. Then here this is quoted:

I Samuel 6:5 “Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure He will lighten His hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.”
I Samuel 6:6 “Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharoah hardened their hearts? When HE had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?”

Remember when the LORD God had Moses and Aaron go to Pharoah to release the people of Israel so they could worship the LORD God Jehovah, and the Pharoah would not. The Lord hardened his heart, just like we read in II Thessalonians 2:10-11, God will send you that strong delusion, so you could not understand His Word, if you continue to rely on man, on religion, on church doctrines, but not His Word, solely and specifically! Moving along here:

Hebrews 3:16 “For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.”
Hebrews 3:17 “But with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?”
Hebrews 3:18 “And to whom sware He that they should into enter into His rest, but to them that believed not?”
Hebrews 3:19 “So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.”

Even Moses, Miriam, and Aaron, they all three did not get to go over to the promised land, as God did not allow that generation, only those people under the age of twenty were allowed in, and Joshua, who God used in Moses place as God took Moses, as well as Caleb. As here:

Numbers 32:12 “Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.’”
Numbers 32:13 “And the LORD’S anger was kindled against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.”

The people God had them wander about in the wilderness here for the forty years, symbolic of probation in Biblical numeric’s, as they would not listen to God. The only two were Caleb, and then God used Joshua, an example for the Jesus Christ, or Saviour, Who did come, leading all to salvation that we have now available to us. Why not make it through this flesh age the first time around, not having to wait that one thousand years, or the II Peter 3:8, Lord’s Day period in which the majority of this last generation will be, and then still liable to perish, as in Revelation 20:1-6. Keep in His Word as I do daily and be successful, asking for His help by praying and talking to Him, with not a written out formal prayer, but like you would a close Friend, that He is. He loves you so much for trying to learn, and so do I! We all need His Word daily, as I try, so keep it! We can do this! Not by ourselves, only with His Word!
