Ephesians 2:1 "Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins."
What kills faith is sin. Fire destroys paper, water wipes out fire. Sin, effects our lives just as much. A home is dead without electricity. Its just not the same as when you have it. When a house has electricity, everything inside of it becomes alive and accessible. And so we are dead by sin but alive with the electricity faith. And if we ever have a problem, we can call our electrician who is Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:2 "You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God."
Fish were made to live in water. Even though they may die in water because of predators, they will die quicker without water. But we cannot say we were created to live in the sea of sin can we? And if someone were to say this, how is this true?
There are only two commanders: God and Satan. Those who refuse to obey God, Satan is their commander for they won the bronze metal of disbelief. Those who obey God, God is their commander for they won the gold metal of faith. And so, we work for the commander and we do as they say. However, their standards are quite different. Satan punishes his people for doing right, for his goal is to train them to do wrong. God punishes his people for doing wrong, for his goal is to train them to do right. So we either become experts at saving and helping lives or experts at destroying them. We will either grow stronger in wisdom or in foolishness.
If we are not satisfied with the side we have chosen, don't worry, both commanders are always taking new recruits. It just depends where you're heart is and where you want it to really be
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
When we serve Christ, the younger we become. I guess you can say, the newer we become. Everyone likes new things. Many desire a new life, a new start but this can only occur through Christ. We are God's masterpiece, and God is also the master at putting pieces together. Even when it comes to shattered hearts.
There are only two routes in this world for our life that we can choose from. God design one and Satan, the other. God chose and made everything for our lives, as where we are going to be and do. And Satan has done the same for our lives. However, we can only choose one of these. And whoever we choose, determines how our life will be, end then start. This decision isn't the easiest, and our life is on the line literally. If we were to go to the zoo, we can't expect to see exotic cars behind bars or cages because a zoo is a place for animals. And so, we cannot expect to see what God has planned for our lives when we go to Satan's route, and we can't see what Satan has planned when choosing God's route. We will see after we choose. However, God does give us a sneak peak in his word on how it is on both sides. Take a look yourself. Maybe you will then make your final decision
