Where you invest, there you will love,
   this is age-honored truth.
Here we can rest, we born-above;
   our Lord Himself the proof.

How you see is your heart's state;
   is it light, or is it dark.
Your perception may be hellish weight,
   or the truth of Christ is what you'll hark.

What you see, you may buy,
   and there you'll sew your desire.
Invest in the holy, from on high,
   or what's forged in brimstone fire.

Aim for earth, with all its treasures,
   but please mind the expiring date.
From there invest in the Father's pleasure,
   that which endures the eternal gate.

Aim for earth and you'll get earth;
   that which soon fades away.
Aim for heaven, and you'll gain both
   where you and Christ will always stay.
