Sometimes I have to die to what I thought was right
Often times its learned through hind-sight
When I thought I had the answers, I had none
Inflicting so much pain, by what I'd said and done
No one asked for my opinion, or wanted my advice
I offered freely, never considering the price
More can be accomplished with a single silent prayer
By withholding my suggestions and simply being there
My words lie unspoken upon the ground
Like seeds of wisdom to be found
Sometimes I have to die to what I thought was right
And lead by example, to God's wisdom and light
