The great physician is he
He lightens the burden of my pain
His yolk is an easy one to carry
He sustains me with his gentle care.
The amazing physician is he
He can make the blind see
The lame leap, the dumb hear
Even raise the dead to life.
The benevolent physician is he
A touch of the hem of his garment
Can heal chronic diseases in an instant
Power emitted in a miraculous way.
The gracious physician is he
He blesses us with people and love
To surround us in our difficult times
We can smile even on days of pain and illness.
The awesome physician is he
He takes my pain on himself
Tends to the wounds of my transgressions
By His stripes, I am healed.
The noble physician is he
When the time comes to draw my last breath
He fills me with his own very spirit
To lead me to an eternal life with him forever.
