"The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars." ( Isaiah 9:10)
Have you ever felt as if you were taking one step forward and two steps back, in this old world. Well, I've been there and done that. However, our loving Heavenly Father is still in command. And, may we never forget.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."(Isaiah 43:2)
As our beloved President Ragan would have said, "here we go again". What started out as a "feel good" penalty for not obtaining personal health insurance, is now a tax. And, according to some think-tank pollsters, probably the biggest tax in the history of the world.
Where and when will all this madness stop? This recent unworkable law appeal, submitted to The United States Supreme court, has compelled the court to render an interpolation on just such a law. And the governments spin, justifying such a ruling, has added to the Malay.
I know governmental "spin" can at times be a very powerful tool. So, how are our Congressman and Senators going to spin this one ? How will these career professional congressional members handle this ? And, now that the Supreme Court's ruling, of this unjust law is in place, what may be done about it.
Our government told us, on many occasion, that the required fee for not having health insurance would never be considered a tax. However, what our government failed to tell us, and in which it took our High Court to do so, was that a fee or penalty by any other name, is simply a tax. Was our government wrong, in the labeling of this required revenue ? Or, were they just covering for what they knew would be upheld in the Supreme Court, as a tax ?
The solution is simply four words, "Get out and vote". As "Red Blooded American Citizens", we must stop this uncontrolled madness in our government. We must not only plan to get out and vote, come November. But we must also campaign heavy, whenever we can, to bring back the freedom of our beloved "Construction".
The bricks, of our world, may fall around us, but God promises they will be replaced with smooth stones, coated with Heavens blessings. In other words, the stumbling blocks of life are simply just stepping stones, in God's world.
Yes, our freedom is in the Lord, and may we never forget that, as well.
So. what is freedom? Freedom by any other synonym simply means liberty and independence. It is an absence of undue restrictions and an opportunity to exercise our individual rights, powers. and desires. In freedoms basket we find a hodge-podge of topics such as;
"freedom of religion"
"freedom of speech"
"freedom of conscience"
"freedom of movement"
"freedom of thought"
"freedom of invention"
"freedom of discovery"
Freedom not only implies a lack of restriction but also gives us the ability to stand alone. And, simply put: freedom is being able to do what you want to do.
Regardless of some beliefs, our nation is still the "land of the free" and the ", home of the brave".
And, in God we still trust.
