Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Greeting my Beloved,
Looking at the above scripture text, I am reminded that Jesus taught the disciples to pray. It is very interesting that followers and students of Jesus Christ have to be taught to pray. When was the last the time you prayed? Was the last time you prayed during a crisis in your life? Why is it…. that believers pray most often when they are experiencing a crisis. Have you ever considered praying before the crisis happen? Often times, if we established the habit of praying daily we can received the grace and or the instructions to avoid the crisis. Notice in verse 11,”Give us our daily bread”, I found that text to be very interesting….Jesus taught the disciples to ask for daily bread. This text teaches that we should ask God the Father (Jehovah-jireh) for our daily provisions. If you are asking God for your daily provisions why are you experiencing lack. I am glad you ask…the scriptures declares, That you have not because you ask not….and when you ask, you ask amiss….meaning you ask for fleshly and selfish reasons. How is it that confessing Christians are experiencing so much lack? The scriptures declares,” I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.” How could this be? Could it be that many Believers today are not mixing their faith with the scriptures they say they believe. If Jesus taught the disciples to ask for daily bread (provisions), then that would obligate God to provide the daily provisions requested by his children. In Matthew the 7th chapter verse 8 declares,” 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! In conclusion, my brothers and sisters I encourage you to ASK and it will be given, for everyone who asks receives. We as Christians should not be experiencing lack in our lives because it is not the will of God for our lives therefore; we must pray daily for our provisions according to the scriptures, in faith believing that God is not a man that he should lie and that it is impossible for God to lie! Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven, feed me until I want no more…….received the Bread of Heaven!
