I Won't Go
If I tried it for a minute
And discovered I could do it
I wonder if I'd let it go from there
Then if I reached half an hour
Walking tall in my own power
Would I run into tomorrow without prayer?
You know I'm scared to try
Afraid that something will die
I won't go
Not after everything I've seen
I won't abandon
The one I've grown to love
It's an illusion
That those who stray have anything to stand on
If I dabbled for a weekend
In the land of let's just pretend
There's nobody who cares what we believe
Would those two days become seven
As I manufactured heaven
Into everything I wanted it to be
It chills me to the bone
What I'd do when all alone
Soon would there be anything to live for?
Soon would there be anything I'd forbid?
As every standard I held to be sacred
Disappeared like early morning mist
Chorus x 2
Those who remain, return have grace to land on
