Denominations have done much to bring confusion into the Churches today. Each one has it's own variance of what they believe. One says it is like this, the other says, no it's like this. "God is not the author of confusion." Who then is ?
So then, how does one come to know what is true and what is not ? The answer is by following the instructions given in the Scriptures. Not by following after what some man says or some Denomination.
"Study to show yourself approved UNTO GOD, a man who needs not be ashamed ... ."
Paul said that truth comes by hearing
(understanding), and understanding by the word of God, not by the word of men. Jesus told His disciples that He would send them the Spirit after His ascension and that it would teach them. If He was doing that for His disciples, how much more for the members of the Body of Christ ?
It is also said in the Old Testament that we should seek the truth as a precious treasure! It's out there, but it requires much searching to find it.
One can not just listen to a man on Sunday's of some Bible study night and find the answers from a man alone. Men can, and do, help others to understand, however, the real truth comes from within to the outside! "The Spirit of God is WITHIN YOU."
This is how the false Rapture teaching got it's start, no one questioned it, they simply listened to Scriptures taken out of context . It had a good sound and feeling to it. I don't have to do anything now but wait. Is that what the word of God teaches for today ?
One last thing that must be said about this; although more could be.
It is an individuals responsibility to seek the truth if they proclaim to be a Christian. "Be a Berean, see if these things be true."
