While in my early teens, a teacher caught me reading Moby Dick during Math class. After class on the way to the principal's office he asked "What is the story about?" I said, "Captain Ahab hunting a White Whale that he hated."
I hope you recall the misery this hunt for the hated whale brought to Captain Ahab and those associated with him eventually leading their death with one exception. The teacher along with the Principal explained the terrifying power of being eaten alive by the Whale of Bitter Desire for revenge against man or monster. They knew my situation and that I was at that young age too much like Ahab.
To be consumed with bitter hatred at any age is unacceptable. At 13 it will lead to an entire life of woe not only for the 13 year old, but for any and all who do little more than say hello.
In the closing story of Matthew Jesus make it plain that a failure to get over injustices through giving forgiveness leads to tormenters entering the life and literally tormenting our minds and hearts. Notice Matthew 18:34:
And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Got torment? Get forgiving peace.
