Verse 6- many speak of God as if they know him. However, to include lies & personal opinions excluding the word of God, how can such person along with such profession be correct? We can mislead others from Christ with what we say. proverbs teaches us to Keep our mouth shut, especially when we speak on anything we do not know about.
Many say they know who Christ is. But is knowing Jesus by his name sufficient in comparison to his the incomparable supreme being of the holy one? knowing the name of Christ isn't sufficient as to knowing who he is. I'm am not saying the name of Christ is meaningless. However, you will see that change comes when we get to know who Christ is
Verse 10- "if pleasing people were my goal, I would not be a Christ servant"
when we please someone, we are directing our efforts & everything else that we do & say to the one whom we choose to please. Many live to please there friends, a person they like, family, etc. but what do we get in return? At times gratitude, at times not. At times money, at times a waste. But what about when we direct our pleasing to almighty God? What then? The goal of a Christian should be to please God almighty. How can a Christian do so? With their lives: The way they steer there boat. In what they say: the way they respond. I'm what they think: the way they accumulate. Everything. Pleasing people does not please God. If we direct our focus & all that we are in other things or people, we gain nothing from God.
I have lived my life to please others but especially myself, and I had no relationship with God. My spiritual life was in a comma while my wrongdoing was active. But when I started to live my life to please my savior, change rose above the horizon. The winds of peace came. I knew my heart was in the right place
