Pieces of promises, ripped right apart,
Parts of a dream, torn apart at the seems.
No real desire, to stay or to care,
No real way out, but shame and despair.
Pieces of memories, like nightmares they seemed,
Parts of a life, waisted in strife.
Then Jesus came in, and forgave all my sin,
He gave me new dreams, and desires it seems.
He took all my shame, and all my despair,
And in it's place, he put God's loving grace.
He took all my pieces, and all of my parts,
then mended back together, the pieces of my broken heart.
If you'll let him in, to forgive all your sin,
If you'll give him your heart, he'll never depart.
He'll give you new dreams, and desires it seems,
He'll take all your shame and all your despair,
And in it's place, he'll put salvations loving grace.
He can take all those pieces, and all of those parts,
And mend back together the pieces of your broken heart.
