Galatians 5:1 "So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery"
A Christian has been redeemed by God. We were slaves in this world like a robot. Yet, God removed the old batteries of our life & he placed the batteries of freedom. A Christian who follows the instructions of God, will not have the tendency to drift away from his commands in comparison to a Christian who lives for themselves.
When a person is tied up, they are bound & freedom seems miles away. A tied-up person cannot do much but remain where they are. They cannot advance, or even free themselves. They need someone to free them. & so it is with the Christian life. Many believers think they can free themselves, but this is incorrect. For Christ said, "come to me, all who are weary" (Matthew 11:28). He did not say, "you can do it yourself," but instead, "let me help you." Jesus can release us from any chain or estate we are in. if he couldn't, why then would he even say, "come to me?" Christ reveals the answer to freedom in this verse. The answer is himself. No need to see a counselor, doctor, or anyone else. But to call on him. Freedom isn't far, but a breath away. No need to spend time or money. Rather, go to the very source of freedom which is Christ Jesus.
If someone told you to lift up a car by yourself, you wouldn't be able to. There is only so much that a person can do. A car is too much weight for one to carry. But for Christ, he can do anything. He can free the lost person who have not Christ & he can also free those who have Christ, yet gone astray
