The tower and the dragon

About eight years ago, one of my friends had a dream. Part of this dream included a city full of people that were waving, cheering and throwing their hats in the air (that’s what supporters of soccer teams in the UK did in decades past). The description of this city caught my attention but what got me really intrigued was the description of a tower with a dragon wrapped around it.

I can’t remember if my friend said the tower was inside or outside of the city, but I do remember that the tower was made of huge stones and that the dragon wrapped tightly around the tower was sort of camouflaged, no one knew it was there.

This “dragon wrapped around the tower” part of my friend’s dream bothered me a great deal. That night, I asked the Lord to help me understand.

In the early hours of the morning I was sort of awake but still a bit asleep. I was imagining a stone tower with a dragon wrapped tightly around it. Then a question popped into my head, “What is the Name of the Lord?” Immediately I thought of chorus we used to sing.

“The Name of the Lord is …… a strong tower!"

My heart beat in my chest, that sort of “fight or flight” adrenalin shot had been released into my system. Now I was wide awake. “Has Satan has captured the Name of the Lord?” I thought.

This morning the tower and the dragon came to mind again. I have thought about this on and off for the last few years, especially since finding out more about the New World Order and the One-World Religion. Satan hasn’t captured the Name of the Lord, he has counterfeited it.

Today, Satan has a counterfeit Christ complete with a counterfeit gospel and a counterfeit body of Christ.

A strong tower was built as a place of refuge. Towers were built as a means of escape from danger. Within a city or a fortress, the strong tower was the final place of retreat. If the walls of the city or the fortress were breached and enemy forces pouring in, there was just one final place to go; the strong tower.

For many years I was just a supporter of the Lord Jesus Christ and a cheerleader. I went to church regularly to worship God and I paid my tithe. I supported the Pastor and the work. As a member of the praise choir and part of the leadership team, I encouraged others to do the same. Yes, I was a faithful supporter and a committed cheerleader but, I am now ashamed to say, I was not a disciple.

To be a disciple is not always pleasant, I would say that to be a disciple is often very painful. The Holy Spirit is not afraid of putting disciples to death; death of our human ways and our human thinking. The Lord has made this very clear to me; a supporter, even a cheerleader, can never be a disciple.

So what of the city full of people behaving like supporters? I thank the Lord for getting me out of that city. That city is heading for big trouble from the New World Order.

God is going to put it in the hearts of the leaders of the New World Order to destroy the city full of supporters. And when those supporters see the threat coming they are going to run into a counterfeit “strong tower” believing they are running into Christ.

Today, there is a true name of the Lord and there is a counterfeit one.

Today, there are supporters of Christ and there are disciples of Christ. It’s a Biblical truth that when stiff-necked men resist the Holy Spirit, God gives them over to delusion.

The tower and the dragon is such a delusion.
