My son Jon gave me a great gift on Father's Day. It's a book titled, Platform: Get Noticed In A Noisy World. Michael Hyatt, president of Thomas Nelson. I have sped through the book; I am now crawling through it with joy. A statement on page 3 arrested my attention:
David Ogilvy wrote: "Great marketing only makes a bad product fail faster." Mr. Hyatt points out that marketing is a method of getting whatever into the hands of a small number of people who enthusiastically tell others.
He's right. It is patterned after the oldest and most successful "branding" program in history. We know it as Christianity. One of a kind product, Jesus Christ, twelve totally committed trainers, Apostles and one person telling another, the another telling another and here we are approaching two billion. It's true some are hardback, others softcover, and now ebooks but with the Imprimatur of Christ.
I have given several copies of my book to others in the hope for formal recommendations and the hope that multitudes will tell others ad infinitum. One man jokingly wrote(I hope), "Dr. Lilly, Outrageous Forgiveness In 30 Days is absolutely the best book on the subject I have read. However I do not like you, so do NOT use my name."
I hope you, my dear reader will tell your friends about Outrageous.
Acts 2:32 "This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses."
