Without faith in God, you wouldn't draw near to him. When we believe in God, we are calling on God & he answer. The day you believe in God is the day change comes. Christ came to deliver us from our imprisonment. He cared so much to take action with a plan to free us. If we were standing on a cliff & we slipped but still managed to hold on, & Christ came & offered to help us, how would we respond? if we reached out to grab the hand of Christ, that is the proof of faith in Christ. Many at that point would just panic, pray, & lose there life. The person who believes in Christ can fight in spiritual battles & win. How? God will defend those who believe, because faith in him is calling on him. Unless you're phone rings, you won't answer. How can God fight a battle from someone who doesn't believe in him? We will remain in prison unless we believe in Christ. The prison of sin that is, shackled to guilt & misery because of our refusal to place our faith in Christ.
A new born bird does not know how to fly on day one. But a bird was created to spread its wings on the winds of freedom. With the encouragement of the baby birds parent, flight will soon come.
We too, cannot fully experience a life of freedom on our own. Christ doesn't only give us freedom, he is freedom. He is what he gives. He can not only show his love, but he is the true essence of what love is all about. It was because of his love, that I am no longer a prisoner of sin
