One of the vital requirements of a true and lasting friendship is trust and faith, as much as it applies to all other relationships it also applies to our relationship with God.
in Hebrews 11, having defined faith and having listed down the giants of faith, the Lord wonderfully lets us know what its all based upon and that is...
"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." Hebrews 11 :13 (NKJV)
They lived in faith, died in faith, did not receive all their promises, however did see them from afar off, for they knew very well that God will be their God even after death on this earth, for our relationship with God extends even beyond this earthly life.
When all we have stops at our grave, we move ahead into eternity not alone but with God.
Let us trust God even for things beyond this world.
Paul put this truth wonderfully when he said...
"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable." 1 Corinthians 15:19 (NKJV)
They are really most pitiable who trust God only for this world, for our hope and trust in God goes beyond this world and unto eternity.
So let's be happy everyday with God leading us and proving for us, for this will continue till eternity, for we are friends forever with God, even beyond this planet earth.
God bless,
Abraham
