Don’t argue with Satan as he will beat you, knowing God’s Word inside and out and all your weaknesses. As God will put into the elect’s minds what they need to say at the hour of temptation when Satan sits in The Lord’s seat in Jerusalem as in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, when God’s elect are delivered up to those synagogues of Satan and they speak that Pentecostal perfect tongue, or language, of the Lord Who will speak through them. As we read in Revelation 2:10 they are held each up to ten days tribulation, again that word we come back to stand up for God. That is what we are to do but to hold up God’s Word and keep it on as our gospel armor. Nothing to fear for God’s elect as we can rejoice because we know God’s Word with understanding and have power, not our own, but that of the Lord Who has blessed us with to take on our enemies, including the devil, who is the serpent, the scorpions, that fallen angel army of Revelation 12:7-9 and Revelation 9 who will come with Satan to this earth. Jesus quoting from here:
Exodus 34:14 “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, Whose name is Jealous, is a jealous GOD:”
Exodus 34:15 “Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;”
The LORD God is very jealous for His people that love Him. Don’t go after the idols of today which are religion and church doctrine. Jesus again is quoting from here as well:
Deuteronomy 6:13 “Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve Him, and shalt swear by His name.”
Deuteronomy 6:14 “Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;”
Deuteronomy 6:15 “(For the LORD thy God is a jealous GOD among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.”
We are to fear, meaning to respect and love the Lord and His Word. Don’t go after what man has to say or religion and church doctrine and make Him jealous, but hear only the Word of God. This is His Word not my words, but the Word of God. Then going on here:
Matthew 4:11 “Then the devil leaveth Him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto Him.”
The devil then leaves Jesus but returns as in Luke Chapter 4, Jesus then putting Satan behind the Lord once and for all. He had enough of him! So then as Hebrews 2:14 when Jesus died for our sins on the cross when the sons of Cain, or Kenites, crucified our Lord Jesus Christ, remember that seed, or offspring of Satan, we then have the opportunity to have eternity with Him! So rejoice and he free from the chains of this flesh life which will soon end at the Lord’s return and hear the Word of God. Continuing here:
I Thessalonians 3:6 “But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:”
I Thessalonians 3:7 “Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:”
I Thessalonians 3:8 “For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.”
stand (Strong’s 4739) to be stationary, I.e. to persevere, stand fast.
fast (Strong’s 3521) abstinence (from lack of food, or voluntarily and religious)
When Timothy returned to Paul and told of how they were growing and bringing in more believers. How did they do it? Not by men’s teachings or church doctrines, but by teaching God’s Word. Again, if we stand fast in the Lord, meaning abstain from other teachings or churches that may “Sound good” but are in reality going to lead directly right into Satan’s arms, just like the majority in this last generation. Then as here:
I Corinthians 7:5 “Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.”
fast (Strong’s 3521) abstinence (from lack of food, or voluntarily and religious)
incontinency (Strong’s 192) want of self-restraint, excess.
What happens when we don’t do this or fast, meaning don’t listen to it, instead take in and eat the meat of God’s Word, not men’s traditions and religion. Then Satan comes in tempting you with new “books” “religions” and “churches”, twisting God’s Word changing the meaning and even adding to it. As here:
Revelation 22:18 “For I testify unto every man that hearth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:”
Revelation 22:19 “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book.”
If any book is added, or words, and if anything from the original Word of God is changed, God will then take out your name written in the book of life, meaning you then would be spiritually dead, or liable to perish at the end of the Lord’s Day, as the devil will perish or be fully destroyed, that son of perdition in Revelation 20:10. Keep God’s Word as it is, not adding another “book”, or God will send the plague of II Thessalonians 2:10-11, not hearing the love of the Truth of His Word, but some lie that Satan has planted in men’s minds, rather than God’s Word. Also, like the “rapture” which was based on some woman’s vision, Margaret McDonald, who even said the vision was evil, then turned into a teaching for the two pastors that overheard it to get more people into the church! Then keep God’s Word always as God will use you at any moment in your life:
II Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
II Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”
II Timothy 4:4 “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
fables (Strong’s 3454) a tale, i.e. fiction (“myth”), fable; (perhaps from the same as Strong’s 3453 through the idea of tuition) to initiate, i.e. to teach, instruct; (from Strong’s 3466) a secret or “mystery” (to shut the mouth) (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites).
Even when you are doing your normal Bible teaching, if you are a teacher, at the most unlikely time someone may ask a question so be ready with not your words, but the Word of God to help them out! Not like those who turn their ears, or listen to fables, or fiction of religion and church doctrines not founded on God’s Word. The base of this word “fables” is “mystery” which is how Satan will use to initiate many through silence into his religion when he is on earth here:
Revelation 17:1 “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, “Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters.”
Revelation 17:2 “’With whom the kings of the earth, have committed fornication, and the inhabiters of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”
Revelation 17:3 “So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.”
Revelation 17:4 “And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:”
Revelation 17:5 “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
revelation (Strong’s 602 disclosure; appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation; (from Strong’s 601) to take off the cover, i.e. disclose, reveal; (from Strong’s 575) off, away, separation, departure, cessation, completion reversal), and (from Strong’s 2525) to place down (permanently), i.e. to designate, constitute, convoy, appoint.
wilderness (Strong’s 2048) lonesome, waste, desert, desolate, solitary;
mystery (Strong’s 3466) a secret or “mystery” (to shut the mouth) (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites).
Babylon (Strong’s 897) (literally or figuratively as a type of tyranny); (from Hebrew Strong’s 894) confusion; Babel (i.e. Babylon); (from Strong’s 1101) to overflow (specifically with oil); by implication to mix; to fodder or feed for domestic animals, mingle.
That harlot Jerusalem the seat upon Satan will sit claiming to be God. The world under Satan, wearing purpose and scarlet, or they have lots of material wealth, but are spiritually dead for they are listening to the fornication, which means anything unnatural and not in God’s Word. The world then that final wilderness as Satan came to Jesus when he was fasting as this world is fasting to hear God’s Word:
Amos 8:11 “Behold the days will come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:”
There is a big famine today for how many churches actually teach God’s Word with discipline and understanding. Or even that Satan will come first and there will be a falling away or apostacy as in II Thessalonians 2 before Jesus returns? Not many and you are very blessed if you have found one. Then finishing up here:
I Thessalonians 3:9 “For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before your God;”
I Thessalonians 3:10 “Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?”
I Thessalonians 3:11 “Now God Himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.”
I Thessalonians 3:12 “And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:”
I Thessalonians 3:13 “To the end He may stablish your hearts unblameably in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.”
stablish (Strong’s 4741) to set fast, i.e. to turn resolutely in a certain direction or to confirm; (presumed derivative of Strong’s 2476) to stand, continue, appoint, establish, set up, hold up.
Be happy that God is using you, a believer, in your life. There may be a friend that you can comfort or who is down, maybe lost a relative by your faith and knowing the Word of God, quoting it for them to encourage. Never forcing down the Word on someone, but prepared if they ask. They, too, see your joy and want to know what you have and where you got it! It’s from God’s Word! Not this world which will soon end. Stablish, meaning ground yourself, in your heart, or your mind, that seal of God in your forehead of Revelation 9, His Word so you are not deceived by Satan when he comes before Jesus. God loves you so much for even making the attempt and trying to learn His Word. So do I! Keep it up!
