We Do Not Know the Day or the Hour that Jesus Will Return
There is a lot of speculation about the Rapture, and although this word is not found in the Holy Bible (N.King James), there are many scriptures that tell of the event that will take place, when Jesus Christ our Lord will return to "gather" His believers (His saints) together, and will take us home to heaven with Him for all eternity.
Through the Holy Scriptures of Jesus Christ (the Living Word)....we will be able to see that He is definitely going to come back to rapture His Saints (all believers in Jesus who love Him and serve Him here on earth). He will rescue us, bringing us safely "Home" with Him to heaven forever.
The bible says that no one will know when Jesus is returning, but that we need to be ready, because He will return at a time that we do not expect Him to come and take us Home.
I have gathered together the scripture verses from my New King James Holy Bible, and wanted to share with you, the verses that I thought most pertain to the coming event of "the Rapture". I am certain that there are more verses that pertain to the Rapture, however, for now, I am presenting you with the ones that I am most familiar with and that I believe do shed a lot of light on the Rapture.
Holy Scriptures Supporting the Rapture…from my N. King James Bible:
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only."
“For as the lightening comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be"
“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory"
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first"
1 Thess. 4:16
“Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord"
1 Thess 4:17
Don't Worry, Just Trust the Lord Jesus
We are now living in the end times. Jesus will be returning soon to rapture (to gather together) His saints (His followers). I believe, that when we, the believers are raptured, then the seven years of tribulation will immediately begin.
The bible says that during these years, the Anti-Christ will be the leader of the whole world, that there will be a one world government. He will pose as someone caring and who will bring order to this chaotic world, as someone who can fix the mess the world is in. And, at one point, he will be fatally wounded, and then will come back to life. When this happens many people will believe in him because that has happened. The Anti-Christ will fool so many people, even "the elect" (Christians), if they are not walking with Jesus when this happens.
Put Your Faith, Hope and Trust in Jesus Christ our God and Savior
Don't Become Separated from Almighty God for Eternity...You Must Stay Rooted and Grounded in God's Living Word & Stay Strengthened by the Power of His Holy Spirit in Your Heart and Mind!
But after this happens, he asks that everyone would get a mark on either their right hand or on their forehead, to be good citizens, and so that they would be able to buy food, gas for their cars, clothing and other necessities. At first, it won't seem odd that he's asking this, but after awhile the "true colors" of the evil one will show!
Keep Your Eyes Upon Jesus...don't take your eyes off Him!..The Evil One Wants us to Take the "Mark", but stand firm in Christ..Don't Take it, no matter what!
If people don't comply, he will use force to bring them in to get the "mark of the beast". Now, when the believers are raptured by our Lord, everyone else will be left behind here on earth. People will think crazy things have happened like aliens came and took millions of people away, or some other weird scenario.
Those people who were not raptured and were left here on earth, will still be able to turn to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and give their lives to Him completely. They will still be able to live in heaven with Jesus for all eternity when they die, if they love Him and ask Him for forgiveness of their sins.
God Loves us so Much
Because God is so very merciful and loving, He does not want anyone to spend eternity separated from Him.
You can read the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and then all of Revelation - and if you read all of it, you will find out what will happen during the tribulation period of seven years.
I would strongly suggest getting someone who believes in Jesus Christ and knows their bible, to help guide you as you read through it. They can show you what might be best to read next.
You can ask for help from a pastor of a Christ-centered church, who believes in Jesus Christ, the Holy Trinity, the Virgin birth, Jesus dying on the Cross for us and forgiving our sins by His Blood, and that He is coming back to rapture us soon.
Jesus Himself said, "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24: 36. "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming." Matthew 24: 42.
Don't Be Afraid...Just Trust the Lord
Jesus said that when there are "wars and rumors of wars", this is only the "beginning of sorrows". Things will get much worse before the rapture happens:
“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be"
“And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.”
Jesus said to "watch and pray", for good reason:
“But as the days of Noah were, so also the coming of the Son of Man will be.”
“For as in those days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,”
“and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be”
“Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.”
“Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.”
Even though Jesus wants us to keep our eyes on Him, trusting Him with all of our cares and worries, He did say that we need to pay attention to the times and seasons of events:
“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”
“But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.”
“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
