The boy denies when guilt is found
The man confesses with grief profound
The boy places blame for what he's done
The man passes blame on to no one
The boy tells lies to cover his acts
The man speaks truth when faced with facts
The boy, with fears, will run away
The man, with tears, will humbly stay
The boy continues with his misdeeds
The man, for help and mercy, pleads
The boy remains in chaos and strife
The man, forgiven, begins a new life
When I was a child,
I spake as a child,
I understood as a child,
I thought as a child:
But when I became a man,
I put away childish things.
I Corinthians 13:11
