Ephesians Part 4
1 of 2

Ephesians 4:1 “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,”
Ephesians 4:2 “With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;”

We are back again in Ephesians written to God’s election, those that withstood Satan in the first earth age and chosen from the foundation, or beginning of this earth age for what they did. So again Paul was imprisoned many times for bringing forth the Word of God and wrote many of the books of the New Testament in while imprisoned, never letting him stop doing the will of God. Always when we bring forth the Word doing it with patience and humbly, doing it to serve others and help them understand the Word of God. Realizing not everyone is at the level you are, but being very patient, just as here:

II Peter 3:8 “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
II Peter 3:9 “The LORD is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

The Lord’s Day, then we see will be that next age, when Jesus stands in Jerusalem as in Zechariah 14:4 setting up His permanent kingdom on earth. Then let’s go on:

Ephesians 4:3 “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Ephesians 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;”
Ephesians 4:5 “One Lord, one faith, one baptism,”
Ephesians 4:6 “One God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Ephesians 4:7 “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.”
endeavouring (Strong’s 4611) to use speed, i.e. to make effort, be prompt or earnest, study, diligent.

Endeavouring, or studying diligently and doing it promptly, especially at this time, for there were many false teachers right after the crucifixion of Jesus. Then we see we are under one body and Spirit, Who is Jesus. Only each person knows what their calling us, but we all share that Word of God, each person doing their part. The baptism of the Holy Spirit when we learn the Word of God with understanding, and take the time to make the effort. That is when the Lord really begins working within each one of us, edifying, or building us up to where we need to be so we can be of help. Just like any job, without proper training and education in the discipline of study you are in, you have to do the work! There are no shortcuts! Also, as an athlete in order to be successful must train and exercise regularly, when we keep in the Word and going back to it, we become familiar and then can retain what we learn and God can use us how He wants to. Then as here:

II Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
II Timothy 2:16 “But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

When we study the Word of God and rightly divide it, we are doing what the Lord wants. Not a little bit here and there, or one verse here and then go on for an hour about what we think about it! No! Just like in reading a normal book, you take a look at the subject, or the idea behind it and then the object. We have to look at the original language, going back using a dictionary or a concordance, so we can check out man, as we do make mistakes. God does not like as babblings or repetitive prayers or chants, as Satan is all about babble and confusion. It’s nonsense and of no use to anyone! Then going here:

Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good,, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

Remember what we do in the flesh all counts. However, the sins that we ask Heavenly Father for forgiveness in the name of His Son Jesus those are blotted out of existence. So don’t bring them up to Him, as that shows your lack of faith that His blood can cover your sins! We sometimes cannot forgive ourselves, but be free and happy. Move on and sin no more! Reasonable service is whatever gifts God has blessed you with in life. Whether you are a good parent or a leader or teacher or encourager, whatever the gift us it. Don’t let the things of this flesh life get you down. We have to sustain our bodies, so stay healthy and follow the food laws, and make a living for ourselves and our families. So again when bringing forth God’s Word, be gentle and be humble. We are just people that God can use to plant seeds of the truth of His Word and encourage others when they are down or maybe have lost a loved one, or they are sad. We keep thinking soberly or real, by staying in God’s Word. Not as some religions and church doctrines which are confusion, and make no sense. God’s Word is very natural, as He always using things in nature that we can look to, for an example. As the Lord our Shepherd, just a shepherd when he keeps his sheep, when he calls the sheep in, they hear his distinct voice and they naturally come to him. That’s what happens when we hear the Word of God. Not my words, or any other person’s words, or men’s traditions, church doctrines, but God’s Word. Then going on here:

Ephesians 4:8 “Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.”
Ephesians 4:9 “(Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?”
Ephesians 4:10 “He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)”

The Lord then after He was crucified and then went to those from Noah’s time that were still in prison here:

I Peter 3:18 “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”
I Peter 3:19 “By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison.”
I Peter 3:20 “Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waiting in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.”

So here Jesus suffered one time for all of our sins, not His as He has none. Jesus then while in the tomb three days, remember, went and offered salvation, teaching the spirits in prison all the way back to the people to the beginning. God is fair in all things as He would not offer us who came after Jesus Who then was resurrected after being crucified for us. Almighty God offers this to everyone that believes on Him. God never wastes time! As here:

John 20:16 “Jesus saith unto her, “Mary.” She turned herself, and saith unto Him, “Rabboni;” which is to say, “Master.”
John 20:17 “Jesus saith unto her, “Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, ‘I ascend unto My Father and your Father; and to My God, and your God.”

Jesus tells Mary that He still had to be ascended to Heavenly Father and be resurrected. He said don’t touch Me, meaning don’t holy Me up! He had work to accomplish, preaching to all those souls in prison way up to Adam’s time, as again the Lord is fair with all peoples. Then we see those eight souls, Noah, his wife, three sons and their three wives, saved by the ark that God had prepared through Noah for them. Then Ephesians 4:10 is quoting from here:

Psalms 68:1 “(A Psalm or Song of David) Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered: Let them also that hate Him flee before Him.”
Psalms 68:18 “Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led captivity captive: Thou hast received gifts for men; Yes, for the rebellious also, that THE LORD God might dwell among them.”
Psalms 68:19 “Blessed be the LORD, Who daily loadeth us with benefits, Even THE GOD of our salvation. Selah.”

The gifts for men is that gift of eternal life, giving up His life for ours so we, too, can look forward to the eternity with our Lord! Not just as the world thinks we live in the flesh and that’s it! Also, the spiritual gifts and blessings that the Lord pours upon His people that are serving Him so they can produce for Him and bring forth His Word. Enjoy His benefits and having peace of mind and happiness in the flesh that we already know the victory is won through our Lord Jesus! Now let’s go on:

Ephesians 4:11 “And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”

So we have people that do different things, just like a body has a head, arms, legs and so forth all with functions. The apostles, means those that were sent forth. The twelve disciples, meaning to discipline oneself as they did in His Word, and the apostles, that Jesus selected. There was no “altar call” or some church leader saying hey you are called! No! The Lord Himself did this, when He said, “Follow Me.”:

Matthew 9:9 “And as Jesus passed forth from thence, He saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and He saith unto him, “Follow Me.” And he arose, and followed Him.”

It wasn’t that Matthew was at some church meeting and some leader selected him. Matthew, of the nation of Israel, worked for the Romans as a tax collector of his people, Israel. He was a civil worker, not in the church and Jesus is calling him because the Lord foreknew what Matthew did in the first earth age. He withstood Satan, and stood up and fought against him with God. God knows who He can and cannot use, so let Him be Judge, not us. Just as we learned in Ephesians 1, Paul, who was a Pharisee, of the religious sect that believed in the afterlife, but that the Lord Jesus was Messiah. He was going to Damascus in Acts 9 to persecute the new people, the church, that were believers. The Lord struck him down and blinded Paul for three days. Then we see God used Paul to bring forth much of the New Testament, and serving the Gentiles, or nations, as he was an expert in many languages, Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, Latin. He was taught by a doctor of the law here:

Acts 5:34 “Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;”
Acts 5:38 “And now I say unto you, refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:”
Acts 5:39 “But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.”

Gamaliel was a Pharisee and knew the Word of God, or the law of God, inside and out or a professor, or rabbi. We see here he is very wise, warning the people the apostles were teaching if they don’t produce or do the miracles and healings then we know they are from men, not God. The evangelists are those that brought and are bringing God’s Word forward by announcing it and teaching it, not to include the apostles, that Jesus had chosen not because they were special people, but by their previous actions in the first earth age. He know He could trust them and use them. Then finishing in Ephesians 4:11, the prophets, meaning teachers. As God’s election who when they plant seeds and tell beforehand what the Word of God states what will happen. As we learned in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 when Satan sits in God’s seat claiming to be God, the prophesy will soon be fulfilled in our near future. As here:

Acts 2:16 “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;”
Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days,’ saith God, ‘I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your men shall dream dreams:”
Acts 2:18 “And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”
Acts 2:19 “And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:”
Acts 2:20 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the LORD come:”
Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.’”

The Pentecost day had happened, or fiftieth in Acts 2, all nations were present and heard the same language in the language in which they were brought up in. Then we see why this happened as here, this is quoting from Joel:

Joel 2:1 “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;”
Joel 2:2 “A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.”
Joel 2:28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:”
Joel 2:29 “And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My spirit.”
Joel 2:30 “And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.”
Joel 2:31 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.”
Joel 2:32 “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”

Joel is the book about the Lord’s Day teaching us about that locust army as in Revelation 9 God using nature to describe to us just as locusts do. The fallen angels with Satan their leader will eat up all the truth that is on the earth when thrown down to this earth in our near future as in Revelation 12:7-9. Then when those election are delivered up to those synagogues of Satan, remember of Revelation 2:9 and 3:9, those that say they are of Judah, or are Jews, but are of the synagogue of Satan, the elect are brought to these trials and the purpose is for this testimony. God will use all people, both men and women, young and old and today they are out there spreading God’s Word. That’s why then when this happens it also will be prophesy that will happen. Then we see at the time the wonders just as when Jesus returns, this happens when Satan, son of perdition, will appear brighter than the moon and the sun. The way we will be successful is to call on the LORD’S name, Which is His Word as Revelation 19:13 states. Then let’s go here:

Acts 22:3 “I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.”

Paul tells us he studied at the feet of Gamaliel, one of close students, learning the Word of God. Then we see in Ephesians 4:11, there are prophets. He was of the tribe of Benjamin, a resident of the land of Judea, so a of Judea or a Jew as in Philippians 3:5. He taught zealously, and boldly, prior to that as we learned going after all people that were following Jesus. Then God could use Him bring forth the Word with this knowledge of the Word of God, and knowing the languages. On top of that, Paul was a bold, with no holds bar teacher, teaching straight truth. No fluffy stuff as some churches today are so nicey-nice, not giving the people the straight truth they need to hear! Then going on here:

Ephesians 4:12 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
Ephesians 4:13 “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”
Ephesians 4:14 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
Ephesians 4:15 “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ:”
Ephesians 4:16 “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
perfecting (Strong’s 2677) complete furnishing; (from Strong’s 2675) to complete thoroughly, i.e. repair or adjust
compacted (Strong’s 4822) to drive together, i.e. unite (in association or affection), to infer, show, teach, knit together

The perfecting, meaning completely furnishing or adjusting us back to the way before the flesh, or sin got into us. Any person living in the flesh will sin at one time or another as we are human, but we have the grace of our Lord Jesus to ask Almighty God in His name and we are free and forgiven of that sin and made whole again. We have to keep asking for remember, we all will mistakes at times, myself included. To edify the saints, or those set aside for the Lord for God knows He can use them, is to build them up, not put them down. Lift others up, not showing what you know, but going to the level of that person who is asking you for help when learning the Word of God. We will all never absorb the entirety of God’s Word in the flesh as there is so much meat in it, but our attempt to do it shows our faith. So we then are made more perfect, meaning more mature. We know better as believers on the Lord Jesus and based on His Word how to act in this world. Show your loved ones and strangers as well who you are in the Lord and stand up for Him! Then when we hear other doctrines, like church teachings as the “rapture” or even other religions, we are swayed this way or that way. There are many very crafty and slick preachers out there, promising you salvation if you just give them some money, and if you are of a particular religion you have salvation. Be careful and make sure you are grounded in the Word of God so you have a leg to stand on. The Head of any church is Jesus and remember, not some cement, wood or brick building, but many-membered body of Christ, who we all as believers make up when His Holy Spirit lives in us and we believe on His Word. God knows what He is doing, putting you in people’s lives where He needs you. We are fitly joined and compacted, meaning united together for His purpose, not for our own gain or benefit, to bring forth His Word. Then let’s go here:

II Timothy 4:1 “I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom;”

The Lord Jesus Christ will judge both the living, or the quick, and those who are spiritually dead. So that’s why remember all souls when they pass away go directly to Him for judgment. We are not still in the graves that we are buried in when we pass away but as here:

Ecclesiastes 12:1 “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, ‘I have no pleasure in them;’
Ecclesiastes 12:6 “Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.”
Ecclesiastes 12:7 “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God Who gave it.”
Spirit (Strong’s 7307) wind by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible exhalation; life,

So Ecclesiastes telling us how to live in the flesh, here we are at the end of life. When the body quits working as it should, or the heart fails, spinal cord quits working and so forth, we will die. Then the dust, or the flesh, which is the organic matter, the meat, vegetables and so on, all naturally go back to the earth they came from. That’s it for the flesh. Then the spirit, or the breath of life or your mind or even soul some use, goes instantly to God Who gave it to us. Remember then we have both a flesh body and a spiritual body so at this time we put that spiritual body to contain the spirit as here:

I Corinthians 15:40 “There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.”
terrestrial (Strong’s 1919) worldly; earthly, in earth.
celestial (Strong’s 2032) above the sky, celestial, heavenly; (from Strong’s 1909) superimposition (of time, place, order), over, upon, of direction, toward, upon , and (from Strong’s 3772) the sky; heaven (as the abode of God); happiness, power, eternity; specific the Gospel (Christianity); air, heaven, sky.

The terrestrial body, or earthly body, is put off and goes back to the earth. Then the spiritual, or celestial body, is put on and your spirit goes then inside that spiritual body to Heavenly Father. That’s it! Some churches teach otherwise, sadly, that they remain in the grave, which we see plainly here is not in God’s Word or even baptize for the dead! Hear what God’s Word says, and not man’s. Then going on here:

II Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
II Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
II Timothy 4:4 “And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
In season (Strong’s 2122) opportunely, in season; (from Strong’s 2121 well-timed, i.e. opportune, in time of need.
out of season (Strong’s 171) inopportunely, out of season;
itching (Strong’s 2833) (to scrape) to scratch, to tickle

We are to preach the Word of God, not men’s traditions and church doctrines. Be ready and there for God, for example, if you are a preacher, not just at your church, but in everyday life locked and loaded ready, to share God’s Word when He puts you somewhere. Be very patient in really knowing the Word of God. We live in that time today, where this lots of not sound doctrine as in II Timothy 4:3! All this “rapture” teaching which is not in God’s Word and God is against this as in Ezekiel 13:20. Many people are easily swayed and like to hear things that are easy, or where they don’t have to do any work or study in the Word of God themselves. That’s why so many churches like today are so popular, setting up the stage for Satan to come in and easily deceive so many Christians. They have itching ears, meaning hearing this teaching and that. Even other religions as here:

Amos 8:11 “Behold the days will come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:”
Amos 8:12 “And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.”
Amos 8:13 “In that day shall the fair virgins and young men fain for thirst.”

We live in this time today! There is a famine today for hearing God’s Word. It’s very rare, and you are very blessed if you have found, a church that teaches God’s Word chapter by chapter and verse by verse, following the subject and precept. People today here in the United States this last decade especially has gone more and more towards Easter religion, like yoga and so forth trying to find the meaning of life. When they have the Word of God right here in front of them! This is also very popular among many movie, television and singing stars out there, again trying to keep out God or any mention of His Word. This is not to judge, but take a look around you what is going on in the world today. Wake up and test the season we are living in! This here is really saying about the youth or young people, fair virgins and young men, with so much on the internet and the media, probably the most influential out of any generation of the past we have seen! Then here:

II Timothy 3:1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”
II Timothy 3:2 “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,”
II Timothy 3:3 “Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,”
II Timothy 3:4 “Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”
II Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

We are in those perilous days. We see it right here in front of us and in the media. Not only are people out there that are like this, but acting like this is glorified in the media! Animated programs showing children rebelling against parents as funny and good and so forth. So many TV. shows that are about becoming “stars” as this is the best thing for any person, especially young ones, to go for in life! This again shows us the season and the time we are living in today. Satan setting his stage for when he will come in and easily sway many, unfortunately, especially in the younger generations using the media as a stage as remember he will be able to do miracles as here:

Revelation 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”
Revelation 13:12 “And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
Revelation 13:13”And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.”
fire (Strong’s 4442) fire; specifically lightning.

Satan who is portrayed in the media as an ugly, mean, red-devil, with two horns, a tail and a pitchfork, wearing red long johns, will look exactly as Jesus, or the Lamb. We know when he speaks though it is the dragon, who in Revelation 12:9 and 20:2 states the devil is the dragon, just another title or role of his. Just like Jesus has many titles as Emmanuel or Son of God. Satan then will have healed the one world political system, just like today we have the United Nations, a world organization striving for world peace. Satan then will supposedly bring in this peace, the first beast the world system. Then why we came here, will be able to do miracles, like bring lighting from heaven, or the sky! Young people and those weak in knowing God’s Word will think he really is the Lord Jesus and easily will go crazy for him! Satan, a show off, will put on real show for the world and, again, no judgment of people today, the ground is easily set up for him! Who do you think is behind the media, the internet using to his benefit, with Facebook and other social networks, all bringing the world as one, and deceiving people to focus their attention there, off of The Word of God and what the Lord has foretold us about His return. So as here God using Paul to say really bear with me and learn this here:

II Corinthians 11:1 “Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.”
II Corinthians 11:2 “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”
II Corinthians 11:3 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
beguiled (Strong’s 1818) to seduce wholly; (from Strong’s 1537) from, out, (from Strong’s 538)to cheat, i.e. delude, deceive.
subtilty (Strong’s 3834) adroitness, trickery or sophistry (cunning, craftiness); (from Strong’s 3835)all-working, i.e. adroit (shrewd), crafty; (from Strong’s 3956)all, any, every, the whole , and (from Strong’s 2041) (to work) toil (as an effort or occupation); an act, deed, doing, labor, work.

He had a godly jealousy over the Lord’s people for we are all to be married, spiritually, to one Husband, Jesus. Then if we are to remain chaste in our worship, we need to know the Word of God, right? We have to not have itching ears hearing this religion, and that church doctrine and philosophies not based on the Word of God. Then just like Eve, who was beguiled, meaning to seduce wholly, Satan with his subtilty, or his trickery and very shrewd mind, knows God’s people’s weaknesses. Satan cannot read our minds, but watches carefully our weaknesses and uses them against us. So watch what you say for he can hear it and his evil spirits, those fallen angels that are with him locked in chains in heaven as in Revelation 12:7-9. Just as Eve was beguiled, or fully seduced, many will be in the flesh and will worship him. So the way Satan is doing this and setting up this world is as here:

II Corinthians 11:13 “For such are false prophets, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.”
II Corinthians 11:14 “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
transformed (Strong’s 3345) to transfigure or disguise; figuratively to apply (by accommodation); transfer, transform self; (from Strong’s 3346) transport, exchange, change sides, or pervert; (from Strong 3326) amid, association, succession , and (from Strong’s 5087) to place, appoint, bow, kneel down, lay aside, purpose, set forth.

These people or apostles, meaning those sent forth, are working today. Most of them may not know, just trying to keep their jobs. But remember we have the sons of Cain, the Kenites, who have mixed in so much with the tribe of Judah and claim they are Jews. Trying to stop the truth of God’s Word going out there. As here:

I Chronicles 2:55 “And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.”
Kenites (Strong’s 7017) A Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin; (paternal ancestor from Strong’s 7014) Kajin, the name of the first child, an Oriental tribe; Cain; (same as Strong’s 7013) a lance (as striking fast); spear; (from Strong’s 6969 in the sense of fixity) to strike a musical note, i.e. chant or wail (at a funeral), lament.

The tribe of Judah, or the Jews, used them as scribes and are not of Israel, but they are the serpent’s seed, meaning offspring, of Genesis 3:15. They had and still have access to The Word of God, changing it. Even today newer Strong’s concordances some of the information has been changed or left out. So do your homework and diligently learn for yourself, not based on what some person, or some church has taught you, without first checking it out in God’s Word.
Then finally when Satan’s comes down as the false prophet, or plays Jesus, his fallen angels most naturally will appear or be transformed, meaning disguised, as apostles looking as the second coming of Christ! The reason and the one behind this is that Satan, himself, will be transformed, or disguised as an angel of light! That’s why we need to put the Word of God, that seal of God’s in Revelation 9:4-5, in our foreheads, our minds, so we know what is truth and what is not! Then as here:

Ezekiel 28:1 “The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,”
Ezekiel 28:2 “Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, ‘Thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, ‘I am a GOD, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas;’ yet thou art a man, and not GOD. though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:”
Ezekiel 28:3 “Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:”
Ezekiel 28:4 “With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:”
Ezekiel 28:5 “By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:”
Ezekiel 28:6 “Therefore’ thus saith the Lord GOD; ‘Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;”
Ezekiel 28:7 “Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.”
Ezekiel 28:8 “They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas,”
Ezekiel 28:9 “Wilt thou yet say before Him That slayeth thee, “I am God?’ but thou shalt be a man, and no GOD, in the hand of Him That slayeth thee.”
Ezekiel 28:10 “Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken if, saith the Lord GOD,’”
Tyrus (Strong’s 6685) a fast; (from Strong’s 6684) to cover over (the mouth), i.e. to fast.
traffick (Strong’s 7404) trade (as peddled); (feminine passive participle of Strong’s 7402) to travel for trading, (spice) merchant.

The subject is Tyrus, meaning to fast as Satan covers up God’s Word. That is how he deceives and will destroy many in this last generation. Tyrus also was the tiny rock nation right next to Israel, or the land of Judea, that was the world trade center, showing us how Satan, that fake rock, tried to copy God just as he did in the first earth age and deceiving one third of God’s people as in Revelation 12:4 and they worshipped him. Then we see here the prince, meaning after Satan’s fall. God tells us what happened and is mocking Satan. He sat in God’s throne rather than protecting it for God as he was one of the two cherubims, or archangels, that were to not let anyone sit in God’s place. God trusted Satan, then he stabbed God in the back when he did this! He claimed to be God, deceiving we know the one third that actually worshipped him, and then last time as in Ezekiel 5, two thirds of the remainder either did nothing or could care less about what was happening! The elect, that remnant, or the ones that fought for God against Satan, God can intervene in their lives, as here with Paul in Ephesians, to bring forth His Word. Then God telling Satan he is just a man, his creation, remember never born in the flesh, but an archangel. Satan was wiser than Daniel, who in Daniel Chapter 1 is ten times wiser than any religious person in King Nebuchadnezzar’s group! So we have to be aware knowing God’s Word as that is how Satan deceives and he is very good at deception! Then Satan took that one third with him became very rich, powerful with him claiming to be God and actually take over God! Because of Satan’s pride he lost it, or set his heart, or mind, as God, and thought he could be God! Then God states in Ezekiel 28:3 there is no secret that any person could hide from him. As in Ezekiel 28 goes on we learn he was made the full pattern, or perfectly! So then God then states Satan’s sentence that he brought on himself, going against God and rebelling thinking that he could beat God! He will die a very humbling death, meaning death of the soul, as in Revelation 20:10 this happens after the Lord’s Day, or the thousand years, is over and the many, as the sand of the sea as in Revelation 20:8, are re-tested when Satan is re-released to deceive them, by himself alone. No false prophet role, Satan able to do miracles as we read in Ezekiel 13:13, and no beast, or one world kingdom, for Satan to tempt the world with as in Revelation 13:15-18 he will be able to do in our near future, when we are in the flesh. Remember in Revelation 19:20 those two roles are then destroyed at the end of this age when Jesus returns. Satan though will be spared, as God will use him again, as in Revelation 20:2, re-locked in heaven in chains to deceive the many that don’t make it this time. Don’t be deceived and make it this time, knowing His Word with understanding so you are not deceived. Then going on:

Ephesians 4:17 “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,”
Ephesians 4:18 “Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:”
Ephesians 4:19 “Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”

So like the Gentiles, meaning the nations not of Israel, so the other races, creeds, nationalities had their own traditions and ways. We know in Greece and Rome, they had their own gods, for example. We know better as we have the Word of God, and today we can apply this to the other religions of the world, as well as church doctrine. If their minds are blinded because they keep hearing their church traditions as here, the subject of II Thessalonians is the return of the Lord and how we gather to Him here:

II Thessalonians 2:1 “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him.”
II Thessalonians 2:2 “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.”
II Thessalonians 2:3 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,”
II Thessalonians 2:4 “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
II Thessalonians 2:10 “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”
II Thessalonians 2:11 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
II Thessalonians 2:12 “That they all might be damned who believed, not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
falling away (Strong’s 646) defection from truth (properly the state (“apostacy” or revolt against one’s religion); falling away, forsake; (same as feminine Strong’s 647) something separative, i.e. divorce, (writing of) divorcement; (from derivative of Strong’s 868) to remove, i.e. instigate to revolt; to desist, desert; fall away, depart; (from Strong’s 575) “off”, i.e. away , and from Strong’s 2476) to stand.
perdition (Strong’s 684) ruin or loss (physically, spiritual or eternal); damnable, destruction, die, perdition, waste; (a presumed derivative of (Strong’s 622) to destroy fully (reflexive to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.
We are not to let any person, or any evil spirit, as the person, Margaret McDonald, when she had the vision said it felt like an evil spirit or was dark. Then two preachers thought they could get more people in the church by teaching this falsehood the “rapture” or fly away, which is much out there today! God is against this in Ezekiel 13:20 and will rip off those lies at His return! Don’t let that first epistle of them, meaning Paul and those with him, as God had him write the II epistle, or letter, to the Thessalonians right away. That day of the Lord will not happen until two things take place. The first is that there will be a great apostasy, going against one’s religious belief. If you are Christian, for example, you then would worship Satan. Then secondly, Satan, the son of perdition, meaning the son in God’s Word sentenced to be fully destroyed. We just read this in Ezekiel 28. God has condemned Satan to perish as well as in Revelation 20:10 when the devil will be put into God’s consuming fire, or the lake of fire, as:
