beneath a heavy veil of darkness
i wander through the night
lost among the shadows
that overwhelm my life
haunting doubts and questions
descend upon my mind
as relentlessly i search
for a reason to survive
then, piercing through obscurity
an unexpected light
penetrates my soul
awakening my eyes
i look upon the heavens
so infinitely bright
with stars in endless symphonies
of incandescent white
entranced by their perfection
in the vastness of the skies
a mystery beyond our grasp
breaks through the dark of night
beckoning with silent songs
so ancient and so wise
speaking of eternity
in pure, unbroken light
the galaxies declare
the creator’s grand design
a reason for all being
a purpose for each life
a message in the stars
a secret so divine
a promise given birth
before the dawn of time
