“And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.”
Why did touching the clothes of Jesus cure people of their diseases? It wasn’t the act of touching Jesus or His clothes that healed. It was their faith put into action. These people believed that Jesus could heal them and that by touching his clothes they would be healed.
In Mark 5:31, there are lots of people bumping and jostling Jesus but only one was mentioned as being healed; the woman who touched His clothes out of faith.
Jesus rewards acts of faith. You can step out on faith simply by praying. I believe that praying is more than just asking the Lord to answer your requests. It is a profound act of faith. It is telling Him that you believe with all your heart that He can accomplish what you ask of Him.
How are you saved if not by a supreme act of faith. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Jesus will reward you today if you act on your faith.
