“Rise and Shine”, sounds the alarm clock.
“Good morning Holy Spirit”, says the crowing cock.
Resonating from the distance is the call-to-prayer voice.
The three thrilling songs are early risers’ blessed noise.
There is no way to miss the heralding sounds.
It’s good the grace to worship God greatly abounds.
My members must be aroused from the dreamy slumber,
Even as the body clock determines to lazily linger.
Yet the three steering sounds all taken together,
Would not wake up a long gone lifeless body;
Thanks merciful Lord I am awake and alive forever.
You are my sanctification for you are Holy.
I am grateful you woke me up to praise and pray.
My hands are spread to the heavens to worship today.
Even as grateful cats stretch from one end to the other,
And chickens joyfully shake their ruffled feathers.
Dogs as friends not left out shaking their rusty muscle.
I must be divinely connected before the day’s hustle and bustle.
Birds with beautiful plumage arise with their sonorous songs,
Man ceases not to divinely communicate with learned tongues.
Lord, you know today’s end from the beginning.
I surrender all my plans for your prompt blessing,
For I rest assured they will succeed as you approve.
When my will aligns then I know all will improve.
