Yellow is the taste of a banana on your tongue
and the feeling of the sun’s warmth dancing along your skin
It is the word for caution, to be careful where you step
The bumpy texture of a lemon’s skin
The sound of brakes when a car slows
Yellow is apart of summer, spring, and fall
It is the sour-sweet smell of the lemon
and the feeling of safety
Yellow is what we call a color
and you call a word
Yellow is the soft brush of wheat in the fields
and the smooth surface of freshly picked corn
It represents a piece of Easter
Yellow is the taste of the vanilla cake
and the sound of a bumble bee
Yellow is the smell of a daisy
and the soft touch of a dandelion
It is the taste of bubble gum as it sticks to your teeth
Yellow means do not pass, but also continue forward
Yellow is the buzz of a light bulb overhead
the swish of leaves coming down in fall
it is the sweet pineapple
Yellow is the soft sand on the beach of a lake
It is the butter that melts on your toast
And it is the new breath of morning
Yellow is an adventure
it is so much more than simple words can tell
it has stories that follow it's trail
and in this one who does not see needs to go
into nature or other parts of the world
and discover what words can not describe
