Psalm 78:41 an EXPOSITION
New King James Version (NKJV)
`
The book of Psalms is an amazing portion of the Bible in the sense that it is complete, in relationship with other parts of the Bible (both OLD and NEW) with every tool needed by each Christian for use to PRAY and to PRAISE!
The saints of old keyed-in, to the awesomeness of the power of prayer and praise leading to many miraculous responses from heaven in answer to their requests and petitions.
Modern day Christians need to begin to dig deep into the divine in SPIRIT and in TRUTH to prove the God that they serve is the owner of the heavens and the Earth
Healing the sick in Jesus name, releasing those who are bound by the power in the blood of Jesus and silencing mockers like Elijah did, BY FIRE!

Psalm 65:2
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come
PSALM 78
41 Yes, again and again they tempted God,
And limited the Holy One of Israel.
Another word for TEMPTING in this context is Provoked, these ones in their attitude and utterances rebelled against the Most High.
The disrespect and irreverence of the people involved produced a fruit of limitation, limiting a God who is ever willing in power and majesty to provide for them in every situation that which was needed to stand or MOVE ON!
In their minds, they set boundaries hindering Him.
The psalmist does not mean they literally tied-up Gods hands and legs to keep Him from doing things, though the practical result of their relationship virtually amounted to that.
However, in lack of faith and fear of God and failure to appreciate practical use of His sovereignty over His creation and His willingness to help His people, this amounts to mentally drawing of lines, a finality and conclusion that God could not or would not provide for His people in their circumstance.
Thus, choosing to arrive at solutions which RESULTED IN SIN AND DEATH.
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING
IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH
