II Peter Part 2
1 of 2
2 Peter 2:1 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.“
Peter (Strong’s 4074) a (piece of) rock; Petrus, an apostle.
heresies (Strong’s 139) a choice, i.e. a party disunion; heresy; sect; (from Strong’s 138) to take for oneself, I.e. to prefer, choose.
We are starting the second book of Peter, which means rock. Jesus used Petra or Peter in English to build His church or foundation upon the future generations. The church, not some specific building or name, but the many membered body of Christ, all of us that believe on Him. On the Word of God Who is:
Revelation 19:13 “And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.”
At this time there were many false prophets, meaning teachers for when we are teaching God’s Word we are prophesying as God’s Word comes true. So way back at this time of this writing of Peter, approximately 60 A.D. so right after Jesus walked this earth, so many false teachers were out there. Satan’s attack again as he does not want God’s Word to go forward so we do not have the tools to fight this spiritual that has been going on since the beginning of this flesh age, which happened way back in the Garden of Eden. That is when we learned God put enmity, or that war, between His people and that synagogue of Satan, or sons of Cain, the Kenites as in Genesis 3:15. The word “heresies” meaning disunion or sects or denominations, as we know there are so many different types of denominations of Christian churches, or division, in the world today. Again, Satan trying to divide and destroy the people who are truly trying to hear God’s Word, as the people would rather hear men’s traditions that have been brought down over the years, or what their church leaders have to say then hearing God’s Word. There is so much especially today in God’s Word that happens right in front of us in this final generation of the fig tree here the subject the return of Christ and the end of this world age, or Messianic period both future and present:
Matthew 24:1 “And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple.”
Matthew 24:2 “And Jesus said unto them, “See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
Matthew 24:3 “And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when shall these things be and what shall be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world?”
world (Strong’s 165) properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) A Messianic period (present or future).
So here and also in Mark 13 and Luke 21, the same topic the second advent and end of this world, Jesus states not one stone will be left standing as antichrist, or Satan who comes instead of Christ first, will sit in God’s throne and claim to be God as in II Thessalonians 2:3-4. So then going on here as we see are in the last generation which became into being when the good seeds, the house of Judah or the Jews and the bad figs, the sons of Cain, or Kenites went back to land of Judea and created Israel in May 1948 here:
Jeremiah 24:1 “The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.”
Jeremiah 24:2 “One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.”
Jeremiah 24:3 “Then said the LORD unto me, “What seest thou, Jeremiah?” And I said, “Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.”
Jeremiah 24:4 “Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,”
Jeremiah 24:5 “Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; ‘Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.”
Jeremiah 24:6 “For I will set Mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.”
naughty (Strong’s 7451) evil, adversity, affliction, calamity, evil, vexed ,wicked.
The Lord commands Jeremiah to see the two baskets of figs set down right in Jerusalem. One basket very good and the other basket so evil you cannot eat them. They are the sons of Cain, or Kenites, they are so naughty, which means very evil and wicked as their father, Satan, is the wicked one. God does not created a murderer, as Satan is the father of the first murderer Cain, who planted him in the Garden of Eden in order to destroy Jesus Who did come through Eve, the woman’s Seed of Genesis 3:15. Jesus here tells us who they are:
Matthew 13:24 “Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:”
Matthew 13:25 “But while men slept his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”
Matthew 13:26 “But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.”
Matthew 13:27 “So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, ‘Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares?’”
Matthew 13:28 “He said unto them, ‘An enemy hath done this.’ The servants said unto him, ‘Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?’”
Matthew 13:29 “But he said, ‘Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.”
Matthew 13:30 “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.’’”
Matthew 13:36 “Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and His disciples came unto Him, saying, “Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.”
Matthew 13:37 “He answered and said unto them, “He That soweth the good seed is the Son of man;”
Matthew 13:38 “The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;”
Matthew 13:39 “The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.”
Matthew 13:40 “As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.”
Matthew 13:41 “The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;”
Matthew 13:42 “And shall cast them into a furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 13:43 “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
Jesus teaches to the public this parable of the tares. Then HE explains it in private to His disciples and to us that can hear and understand His Word with understanding. The Son of man, the Lord planted the good seed, meaning the children. Then the wicked one, Satan, or the devil, all the same one, but just his different names, his seed, or children, are the tares, which are the false grain, or tare or “darnel” which looks exactly as wheat in nature. However, when it is ripe for harvest has to plucked out individually as it appears exactly as wheat, but if you eat it is poison and bitter. So that’s whey Jesus states at the end of the Lord’s Day, or the next thousand years after Jesus sets up His kingdom on earth after Satan appears for the five month period of Revelation 9:5 and 9:10 on earth. That is when the harvest will be right before the eternity, and the angels will harvest all children, as so many of the Kenites or sons of Cain are so mixed in with the people of God. So then let’s now as we know the time when the good seed and bad seed, both the house of Judah or Jews and the sons of Cain, or Kenites, so they would be the children created in the Garden of Eden, as remember Adam and Eve covered themselves with fig leaves in Genesis 3:7 over their private parts covering up the sin Satan deceived them into doing and children both Cain and Abel were produced. We then that marked that generation and now today we are living in that final generation as back to Matthew 24, remember subject is the second advent and end of this world age, we see:
Matthew 24:32 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:”
Matthew 24:33 “So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know it is near, even at the doors.”
Matthew 24:34 “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.”
Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”
Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only.”
Jesus says to learn this parable, or know it with understanding. So when the Jews and the sons of Cain, or Kenites created Israel in May 1948 that began this final generation. Then when that generation got some age on it, or leaves and harvest, or summer time was very close, we are to watch all the events Jesus has listed in Matthew 24 for His return. Then Jesus states that both the heaven and earth, the earth’s flesh age will pass away, but the Word of God is eternal and will never end. Only The Lord God Almighty, Jehovah, knows when this exact time will happen for the Lord to return to earth to take His wife, the elect or those who fought and withstood Satan in the first earth age, of Revelation 19:7-8 and also those with free will, His Bride, as God knows all people’s minds and intentions when those that should have all the information from His Word locked and loaded in their minds so they can stand up for Him. Only God knows this, however, we have a very big clue in Revelation 11:7-8 after the two witnesses’ state their testimony of God’s Word and Satan has them killed in Jerusalem as Satan and his angels are commanded not to touch those with the seal of God, or knowing God’s Word with understanding, in Revelation 9:4, breaking this commandment. God then in Revelation 11:11 after three and one half days, just as the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, their dead bodies will rise in the arena in Jerusalem. So then we can deduct using the Word of God that after three and one half days when those two witnesses are killed by Satan and his angels, their bodies will raise and the Lord then returns after Satan has his short kingdom on earth here:
Revelation 11:13 “And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.”
Revelation 11:14 “The second woe is past; and behold, the third woe cometh quickly.”
Revelation 11:15 “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of this world are become the kingdoms of our LORD, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.”
At this time at the second tribulation, as remember Satan comes at the first tribulation on earth where there is also a great earthquake and the sun and moon appear dark when Satan comes as he is an archangel and very bright as in Revelation 6:12 at the sixth seal of Revelation as his number is six, six and six in Revelation 13:18. This means Satan comes at the sixth trumpet, vial and seal of Revelation right before Jesus Who comes at the seventh trumpet we see here. So right before Jesus comes those seven thousand men, the fallen angels kicked down to earth with Satan in Revelation 12:7-9 die instantly. Their roles of helping Satan deceive this world are complete. Then the second woe and third woes happen to earth, as remember Jesus pours out the wrath of the Lord God Almighty as He is very upset! His children, the majority of this final generation living on earth today have not read the Word of God with understanding and will be worshipping Satan! That’s what Jesus was sweating tears of blood and asking God to remove that wrath from Him when praying to Heavenly Father at the mount of Olives right before His crucifixion! Not the fact that He were to be crucified for His very name is the Word of God and that is His choice and His willing love for us all to bear all of our sins as here:
Luke 22:39 “And He came out, and went, as He was wont, to the mount of Olives; and His disciples followed Him.”
Luke 22:40 “And when He was at the place, He said unto them, “Pray that ye enter not into temptation.”
Luke 22:41 “And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,”
Luke 22:42 “Saying, “Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine, be done.”
Luke 22:43 “And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening Him.”
Luke 22:44 “And being in an agony He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood, falling down to the ground.”
Luke 22:45 “And when He rose up from prayer, and was come to His disciples, He found them sleeping for sorrow,”
Luke 22:46 “And said unto them, “Why sleep ye? Rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.”
Luke 22:47 “And while He yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss Him.”
agony (Strong’s 74) a struggle (properly the state), i.e. anguish; (from Strong’s 73) properly a place of assembly (as if led), i.e. a contest (held there); an effort or anxiety, conflict, contention, fight, race.
Jesus is saying to them to pray and be focused on God so they are not brought down to things of this world. So then Jesus is here praying to the Lord and His sweat as the blood drops on the ground. Then Jesus goes to the disciples and says to them why are they sleeping for they are supposed to be watching for the enemy. Then right away the enemy comes in, just as it was foretold to us in The Word of God that Jesus had told in Luke 22:21 that Judas who was eating that last Passover supper with them would betray Him and he did. So we can rely on the Word of God, not men’s words, or the traditions of religion and church doctrines. Then let’s go back to 2 Peter here:
2 Peter 2:2 “And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
2 Peter 2:3 “And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”
pernicious ways (Strong’s 684) ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal), destruction, die, perdition.
feigned (Strong’s 4112) molded, i.e. artificial or (figurative) fictitious, (false) feigned; “plastos” in the Greek.; (from Strong’s 4111) to mold, i.e. shape or fabricate.
There will be many in this final generation who will be deceived by Satan. As we read in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 the subject the return of Christ and how we gather back to Him, two things happen. The great apostasy, or going away from one’s religious beliefs, and the son of perdition, meaning the son in God’s Word, Satan in Revelation 19:10, who is sentenced to be fully destroyed or perish, will sit in God’s seat saying he is God at the mount of Olives in Jerusalem. So then it’s no wonder that many are setting up this to come forth or happen. Many churches today which are not founded on God’s Word and religions are setting up their congregations either out of ignorance for they have not read with understanding and cannot understand, or could care less as they are making a great profit out of their religion or church business. They are making merchandise out of the people ripping them off, selling them men’s ideas and the fact they are “saved” by being a member of their church or their religion and that’s all that is necessary. Never teaching them the very truth of God’s Word as that is what we need sealed or locked and loaded in our minds so we are not deceived by Satan, as he uses scripture, or the Word of God, to destroy, rob and steal from many their very souls when he appears before Jesus. So then their feigned words, are “plastos” in the Greek or plastic in English! Their damnation slumbers not, meaning Satan and those fallen angels, their evils spirits come down to earth just as we have the Holy Spirit of The Lord for us. So hear God’s Word and don’t be deceived for they are working 24/7 to kill, rob and destroy, and especially those that are bringing forth God’s Word, planting seeds of His Word! Be on guard, and at peace in the Word and prepared as God is our only rest in this flesh world that Satan has control over. They are artificial, molded and fictitious by their church doctrines and men’s ideas, not based on what the Lord God Almighty Jehovah has stated in His Word!
Revelation 6:1 “And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, “Come and see.”
Revelation 6:2 “And I saw, and behold, a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”
Revelation (Strong’s 602 disclosure; appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, be revealed, revelation; (from Strong’s 601) to take off the cover, i.e. disclose, reveal; (from Strong’s 575) off, away, separation, departure, cessation, completion reversal), and (from Strong’s 2525) to place down (permanently), i.e. to designate, constitute, convoy, appoint.
bow (Strong’s 5115) a bow (apparently as the simplest fabric); (from the base of Strong’s 5088) to produce (from seeds, as a mother, a plant, the earth) bear, be born, be delivered, be in travail.
So here in Revelation, which means to take off the cover and to reveal, the Word of God. Jesus did this for us to see this specific book especially for this final generation. Not at those churches and false teachers that preach “God’s Word or the Book of Revelation you don’t need as you will be flying away”! This is a lie that robs you of the very truth that is necessary to get to that finish line, when the Lord comes right after Satan appears in this flesh world. Then The Lamb, Jesus, is telling us to see His Word and what He is opening up for us to know with understanding so we are not deceived by Satan. There is a white horse, but not the white horse of Jesus, but that of the rider who has a bow, meaning a cheap, simple fabric imitation of the glorious throne of God, and a crown, appearing as Jesus as in Revelation 13:11 looking exactly like any photo, painting or image of Jesus, but speaking the lies of the dragon as it is Satan, not Jesus. Then Satan comes to destroy and to conquer for he knows he has very little time, he comes as in Revelation 8:1 right in the space of half an hour, or right in the middle of that hour of temptation, when he, son of perdition, or antichrist, meaning instead of Christ, Satan, comes right before Jesus. The world will go for it for they have read God’s Word with understanding. God has a very beautiful throne as here as the rainbow:
Revelation 4:3 “And He That sat was took upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.”
rainbow (Strong’s 2463) a rainbow (“iris”); (perhaps from Strong’s 2046) to utter, i.e. speak or say, call, say, speak of , tell; (probably from a fuller form of Strong’s 4483) to utter, i.e. speak or say, command, make, say or speak of.
That rainbow, meaning to speak or to say, as God’s Word! That is the throne of God, brilliant and beautiful, full of the very truth that we need in order to get right down to that final harvest at the very end. So stick to His Word and be grounded on that Rock Who is Christ and understand and be successful! Then going on here:
2 Peter 2:4 “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;”
Then we are told if God didn’t spare those fallen angels, but sentenced them to perish, at Jesus’s return, we just read in Revelation 11:13, then we see here what this means:
Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noe were so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Matthew 24:38 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,”
Matthew 24:39 “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be,”
So as in Revelation 12:7-9, right before the Lord returns it will be just like right before the flood of Noah’s time. The fallen angels taking the daughters of man, or Adam, and taking them as wives, eating and drinking with them. Then when the ark came they all perished, to include the giants, or the hybrids the fallen angels produced with flesh women. Our flesh bodies can be sustained by manna or angels’ food as here:
Psalms 78:23 “Though He had commanded the clouds from above, And opened the doors of heaven,”
Psalms 78:24 “And had rained down manna upon them to eat, And had given them of the corn of heaven.”
Psalms 78:25 “Man did eat angels’ food: He sent them meat to the full.”
The children of Israel survived on the manna, or angels food, and so we then can conclude that an angelic body can be sustained the same way. Remember God made man in His Image and of the angels as here:
Genesis 1:26 “And God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
Genesis 6:1 “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,”
Genesis 6:2 “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.”
Genesis 6:3 “And the LORD said, “My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”
Genesis 6:4 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”
men (Strong’s 120) ruddy, i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.); (from Strong’s 119) to show blood (in the face), i.e. flush or turn rosy, be (dyed, made) red (ruddy).
giants (Strong’s 5303) properly a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant; giant.
mighty (Strong’s 1368) powerful; by implication warrior, tyrant champion, giant; (same as Strong’s 1397) properly a valiant man or warrior; a person, mighty; (from Strong’s 1396) to be strong; by implication to prevail, act insolently or disrespectful, be stronger or valiant.
old (Strong’s 5769) concealed, i.e. the vanishing point; time out of mind (past or future), i.e. practically eternity; always; (from Strong’s 5956) to veil from sight, i.e. conceal, blind, secret thing.
renown (Strong’s 8034) an appellation or name by a specific geographical location, as a mark or memorial of individuality; honor, authority, character, famous name, renown; (perhaps from Strong’s 7760 through idea of definite and conspicuous position) to put, place, tread down.
