Preface: We were sitting on the top of the sailboat's cabin - just Dad and me. I was about 10 years old, totally loving his company and watching the Northern lights on our "date-sail". We got talking and discovered that we had the same dream/vision (the poem below outlines it). Soon after our "date-sail", Dad had a stain-glass window made for us... for me. The sad difference in our visions is that I crossed the bridge to Christ on the other side but he kept walking along the worldly/wide path of 'false-roses of Sharon'.
-------------------------------------------------------
The stars did usher in
Truth spoken unto their hearts
By shared visions of the same
Their future with God a part
God’s forecast was then given
In visions given to each mind.
First to the young child - then to
Her father who denied
And alone she walked along
An earthen, clay, dust-path,
Her steps slowly moved forward
Never wanting to look back
To her right was a River
Flowing crystal clear and blue
To her left was a field -
Rose bushes in full bloom
And in the river-stones message
And what they represent:
On the right steps are to Heaven -
Left-back: those who reject
She knew within her heart
Heaven’s Truth is on the right
And that Earth’s pull on man -
A great thorn on the left side
Whispers from ‘Rose of Sharon’
From false-Christ: lies that abide -
In the wide path that leads
To false life and many lies
She knew there is no rest
For those who choose to walk
The wide path beside the many
Endless roses of such balk
The Bridge is a clear pass
To Christ's awaiting love
And 'cross' it unto Him -
Our Christ enthroned Above!
