A change is a-coming
Did you hear me?
I said: A change is a-coming.
A time when walls and divisions and denials and strife
Will Cease to ride the hips of the earth
When old assumptions and faulty constitutions
Will br-eak/ brake.
When a common misconception-
That God is not into blessings-
Will be shattered by indisputable evidence.
A Kaleidscope, a holy scroll
When the bells of eternity will begin to toll
And a child will lie with a lion.
A change is a-coming.
When nation will no longer rise against nation
When it will be the norm to present an oblation
And injustice will be undone.
The old order will be irrevocably subverted-
Some will inevitably seem disconcerted,
And all will feel at home in a finally found land.
Every tribe, nation and tongue
Will sing the praises of one Son
And the very stones will proclaim His justness.
“Eden” they cry-no longer must our sons die-
We long for a hope that we can’t necessarily define.
A change-is a coming.
Do you hear the oceans thundering,
Can you see the blackbird singing
Have you felt the increased tempo-
The dips and dives of an ultimate crescendo…
Enter in: one light, one chord, not easily broken.
It is called Wisdom and Justice and Change:
You are welcome in this place.
Change is a-coming.
