Not Taking Offense at Me 18 lines / 136 words
By Robert Schaetzle
Whoever desires his life loses it
This Ole world is too much like doubting Thomas
To compare with the Savior’s heavenly promise
But to lose oneself for His personal love
Forever finds treasure given
Through God’s storehouse of promise above
Where today is, tomorrow will be better
True joy and lasting peace within
No heart aches of worldly sin
By faith, take hold the hem of His robe
Without doubt or shame
Rest in the power of His Heavenly Name
Those who followed through ages past
Were those provided eternity to see
When Jesus said; “Take no offense at Me”
His promise, faith without fee
His love given to those who hear
“Blessed is he who takes no offense at Me”
Mathew 11:6 RSV AMEN
