Weary exhaustion,
emotionally deprived,
looking for something
to confirm self alive,
humans turn to all
that is with in our reach,
to things that can be touched,
to things that we can see.
Sometimes it is alcohol,
sometimes the cigarette,
sometimes it is food,
sometimes, drugs
that makes one to forget,
sometimes it is pornography,
sometimes illicit sex;
sometimes we try it all
and make a mixed up mess.
When all along we needed
just plain ole simple love,
while searching all around us
we should have looked above.
For God, our Creator,
left a space in me and you
that nothing or no body
but He can fit into.
Wisdom is calling loudly,
“Come, come this Way
and find the thing
you’re looking for,
and on this very day.”
Why should you search for comfort
all your life and then,
step into the other realm
without knowing Him?
Jesus says, “I’m standing
at your hearts door just now,
pull the latch string
there inside, invite Me to come in
and I will give you peace
and I’ll free you from your sin.
But most of all, you’ll find My Love;
that's what you’re looking for.
