Don't look back!
The scourge of
memory
will render you
paralysed,
a solitary relic
of a life
that could have been.
Don't look back,
but take the time
to rest awhile.
Abide, in Him
and learn to lean,
friend still your soul
and know, that
He is God.
Don't look back.
Forget the former things
press on in faith,
for you are not alone.
He saw
He cares
He wept
and He can take you forward
from this place,
For He is God
The challenge topic this week was 'Don't look back', something that has been very much on my mind of late as I am being lead in new paths. However, in the few minutes between writing and submitting, I somehow missed the cut off time. I thought I would post regardless in the hope that it may be of help to someone.

Dear Shann, you are more than welcome to use anything here, even the ones that aren't marked 'free to share.' Please work away and delighted to be of some use and grateful as always, for your encouragement x
This is positively beautiful. I am the editor of my church's newsletter and with your permission I'd love to include this in the January edition. It reaches about 250 families. Though I can't pay you for it I will leave a link where people can find more of your works.
I can see why this poem was chosen for the Faithwriters Jewel Chest. Your words were powerful, and they made me think about the dangers of lingering too long in the past, of not focusing on moving forward towards the future. Thanks for sharing this poem and congrats!
It was lovely and I'm so glad you posted it anyhow. See...God lead you to place it and you were obedient to His request. So now it blessed others, including me.
Thank you. Congrats for being one of the entries in the FW's Jewel Chest.
God Bless~
Congratulations! This has been chosen to be highlighted on the Message Boards in the Cheering Section. You can see it by clicking here: FaithWriters Jewel Chest
