We have a squirrel that sits in our bird feeder
and eats the sunflower seeds. We started feeding
her peanuts. She is getting very fat, maybe she's
pregnant maybe just well fed. But that is neither
here nor there. She is a red squirrel so. as
anyone who has lived off the land knows. means she
is slightly greasier that her gray cousins. This
means you must cook her on a lower heat and a
little longer. Should you want to serve them as a
main course count on two to three per person. I
like to boil them first with carrots, onion and a
little sage. Then put them on the grill with a
mustard based honey glaze.
My wife thinks this kind of thinking is cruel and
gross. Squirrel's are so cute and fuzzy and fun to
watch.
This demonstrates the differences between
men and women. A women can find an emotional
connection between any creature or item for that
matter. On the other hand I'm sure that it was a
man in the Donner party that said "Bob just froze
to death. lets eat him." Connections for men are
harder to establish and easily broken. I cried the
first time I saw "Old Yeller", But then it was
"Hey hear comes the good part!" I could have put
him down from the front porch.
I know what your thinking. Where are you going
with this Russ? Well here it is. A man can't have
a relationship with God the father until he
realizes that, that connection will never be
broken. God will never turn his back on you. Never
walk away from you. Never get disgusted at my
ugliness. When a man finnaly realizes God "LOVES"
him. The connection can never be broken.
