There is a long road that we all have traveled.

For some it looks, to the rest of us to be paved

and smooth. But the truth is it is narrow and full

of pot-holes.

I have walked such a road! On this road there

were many forks in the road and I’m not proud to

say that I choose the wrong path more than once.

Along my road I was able to see God’s hand at work

in my life. I’m sure He had wished I would have

stayed on the straight path He had designed for

me. But my foolish desires got the best of me.

One day I was walking along the beach. As I

stood there I realized God was speaking to me in

the gentle lapping of the waves upon the shore. A

little farther along He spoke to me in the wind

blowing through the trees. But the loudest and

clearest was when I heard his voice in my pain. Oh

yes there were times when I shook my fist at Him

and shouted out in my distress. But He never

stopped speaking.

So here I stand at another crossroad, my knees

and arms are scraped and bruised from falling

down. I am exhausted and confused. I hope to

choose the right path this time. But regardless of

my decision I know He will continue to speak and I

shall continue to listen.

God word promised if I seek Him I will find

Him. So on I go, on this narrow path. I will try

to remember my reward is not this journey but the

prize at its end. If I see you along the way

please don’t judge my God by me, but rather by the

kindness and mercy He has shown me.

This world is a wonderful place but nothing

compares to the hope I have in Him.
