Many souls are adrift on the waves of despair
Far out where the wild billows roar
Looking for hope and a light shinning clear
To guide then safety home to the shore
There are souls in the darkness of night
With no one to show them the way
Searching for someone to find
The way to turn night into day
Can the world clearly see
The love of the Savior in you
Do you work Do you pray
That you may stand brave and true
Keep your light shinning for Him
That many souls out in sin
Will see the light shinning clear and bright
By Grace through faith come safely within
Have you ever experienced true darkness in natures caves? Darkness where you literally could not see your hand in front of your face. Well, that's just a hypothetical example of sins darkness.
" For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God”. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
However, it is not our Lords desire that we live in darkness but that we all find the true light of the gospel.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".( John 3:16)
"The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light". (Romans 13:12)
