They already have their own tickets for the Corregidor Tour. However, since I am not an outspoken person, I haven't told anyone I wanted to come. As the tour date is approaching, I feel braver and braver to tell them I want to come. On the day of tour, I told my mom I wanted to come. I went to the port with them where we can buy the ticket for me, if there is one. I was a chance passenger. Luckily, I was able to get my own ticket.
When we got in the boat everyone was so busy setting up their cameras and stuff while the attendants were explaining the security protocols in case of emergency. When we got into the Corregidor Island, we took a small tour on our way to the hotel and restaurant, so we learned a couple of things while travelling; Travel time was learning time. When we reached the restaurant we ate whatever we wanted because it was a buffet while we were entairtained by a band. Afterwards, we went on the tour again, 1st stop was the lighthouse. I climbed up to the highest point tourist are allowed, but my mother, tita and lola didn't want go up with me, they stayed in the tour bus. It feels so good to be on top of the lighthouse, because after climbing the stairs, you'd see how far you are from the land. Afterwards, we went to the buildings that were very much affected by World War II. There was one building that has a long dark hallway which door's has bullet holes. I entered inside because it fascinates me, my company were still in the tour bus. Then a man called me and told me to get out of the building because there might be bats there. Finally, we went back to the boat, everyone was tired, I also fell asleep and just woke up as soon as we got to the dock.
When we were kids, we would always ask someone older than us, to get or buy us something, there are chances they would and sometimes they won't or they can't. In the course of our lives, there's a period when we learn so much, that we have learned the most in that period than all the periods in our lives put together. Just like how one would learn the safety and security protocol in life. Along the way, we would find a lighthouse that we would like to climb, our dreams. Sometimes, we may need to climb it alone, but we will be persistent and diligent in doing so, because we already know that it would feel good up there, even if we haven't been there yet. At the top of the tower, we'd look down and we will realize how far we've climbed, but then some of us would look up the sky, and realize that we are still too far from it. There are also times when you'll enter a really dark time, and our loved ones may not be there, but there would always be someone who'd tell us to get out of it because it is dangerous. Finally, no matter where we go, we will be reunited with our company, our family.
I asked my younger brothers who is missing in the story and I gave them 10 guesses. They failed to give me the very important person. The captain. He directed the boat to the destination while everyone was busy setting up everything, without Him, we wouldn't have reached the lighthouse. He directed the boat back to where we came from even though everyone was sleeping.
