When I was in College, there was a song that struck me, and whenever I hear or sing it, I feel it so much that I get teary. The song was "Listen" by Beyonce Knowles. Like most songs, it is calm on the 1st lines and intensifies as it approaches the bridge then calms again before it ends. The bridge goes like "I dont know where I belong, but I'll be movin' on, if you won't if you don't, oh listen to the song here in my heart". This is the hardest part of the song, that after belting it out, you'd feel your heart pumping more blood as you close the song with "my own, my own".
But, how do you make someone listen? How does one listen to his heart? Have you ever experienced being in a class and the teacher is struggling to get through all the whispering from the students, then suddenly, she stopped talking and everyon stopped whispering with her?
Certainly! It is possible to listen to silence. Being silent can be a sign of being agry, simply put, a non-verbal medium of communication. What type of situation were you into, when silence spoke for itself? This is similar to most songs, when you are belting, do you hear your heart beat? No, because you hear your voice trying to overcome the loudness of the playing instruments. In order to listen to your hearT, you have to drop the "T", so you can hear... What is the T? Your tongue! If you want to get your heart again, but the T back but not the T in tongue but the T in Traquility.
Listen is the anagram of Silent. However, if you drop the T's in both silent and listen, only the latter will sound the same. For we always pronounce listen with silent "T". Even in this context, you can listen without a T = Tongue.
