DEAL WITH IT
He was the Senior Pastor of a well known Church in America. He was well respected by other leaders in the ministry. That was before he was caught in a homosexual lifestyle. Although he apologized to his family and congregation, the damage had already been done. He had to step down as the set man of the Church he founded. Some members of the congregation left. As of the last time I heard about him, he is no more in the Pastoral ministry. He is now in the secular world. During an interview, he revealed how he was sexually molested as a child and the impact it had on his sexuality.
This man was obviously called to be a leader over God’s people. His ministry has produced leaders in the teaching and worship ministry. However you will agree with me that the day he was caught in the sinful habit was not the day it started. It started the day he was molested by a man. It resulted in an issue in his life. It lingered. It reflected in his perception of men. He couldn’t run away from it in his private moments. However he failed to address it. It continued in secrecy until it became a public scandal.
When God crafts a plan for us, Satan also has his agenda for our lives. Since he knows that our destiny is meant to cause chaos to his agenda, he will stop at nothing to ensure that God’s plan for us is frustrated. He achieves this through an issue in our lives. It could be an habit, a mindset, the words of our parents etc. The good news is we can win the battle over our lives.
