Faith
Cloudy skies blocked my view
Of your amazing grace
Trying so hard just to shine through.
I had walked through this dense dark jungle
So many times before
Stumbling and tripping over broken branches
That had cluttered the forest floor.
I tried to get out,
Any way that I could
Except for coming to you.
I had never imagined that
You would be the one
To turn my gray skies
Back to blue.
Rain started to pour,
Blurring my vision even farther
Mud began to cake the earth
Making it even harder
To get through
I cried with a loud voice
"What must I do
To get out of this miserable hell
That I've fallen into?"
Then, in a instant sudden surprise
The rain stopped pouring
The birds started singing
And the sun began to rise
I heard your voice
So sweet and dear
Saying "Come to me my child,
And everything will be clear."
So I ran as fast as I could
And did not stop
until I reached Your outstretched arms
Waiting for me
Tenderly drawing me near.
Now my skies are blue
Branches no longer clutter my path
I can see the way in front of me
As long as you hold my hand.

This was such a good way of describing the path and struggles of a person heart in search of peace. The before and the after. I just love how you described it.
