Dear friend,
There's no better way to accord our LORD Almighty the greatest honour, respect and reverence, than to trust His infallible Word absolutely, especially in the face of extreme uncertainty and typically negative and dangerous circumstances. Psalm34; 8-11. God has absolutely no needs whatsoever, except the need to be trusted wholeheartedly by people. Above other things, it's our trust or faith that pleases God! Hebrews 11; 6. Needless to say, that, anything done to or for God without faith - be it prayer, praise, giving, thanksgiving, ministry etc - will never receive His approval or validation. Through faith, Jesus pleased God and was approved with amazing signs, wonders and glorious miracles, so can we! Acts 2:22.
Humans are made and used to walking by sight or feelings, totally sold out to the philosophy that "seeing is believing", instead of God's Word, "if you believe, you'll receive/see ...Matthew 21:22. Now, God is invisible and all His gifts are spiritual and invisible, but far more superior. Little wonder He's also invincible! It is our faith that transforms the spiritual gifts into physical, tangible blessings. Truly, to the natural man, it becomes even more uncertain, confusing and very frustrating when he has to trust the Words of a God he has never seen, to deliver him from tangible, mortal danger! What a test of faith! However, faith is endangered by security, but it is absolutely secured in the midst of severe danger!
Most times, in order to experience the miraculous, we have to do the ridiculous, in righteousness! Faith is risk, great faith is high risk. And great faith, being the pathway to greatness, pleases God greatly! Miracles do not show up where they're needed but where they're expected. Let me ask, what are you expecting in line with God's promise/Word? This is a very important question because your expectation is actually your faith! Get that abandoned and discarded great prayer request back into your prayer list again. This is the season of undeserved rewards. The season of spectacular favours from God. Your expectation shall never be cut off!
Be assured of this today, that, there is absolutely nothing you want God to do for you according to his will/Word that is impossible, because with God and anyone who doesn't doubt, but believes, trusts and knows, nothing shall be impossible! Perhaps your need is very great and would require radical faith to subdue it. Now, radical, miracle inducing faith doesn't wait to be invited, persuaded or cajoled. It undermines pride, shame and timidity, stepping out boldly and confidently towards the trying situation.
This incredible faith is safely established in the bosom of fervent prayer and God's infallible Word! - 1John 5:14, 15; Mark 5:21-43; Luke 5:17-26. Wow! These scriptures are so powerful that after reading them we can never wait for something or somebody to move us before we move. If that is the case, then where is our faith to please God to bless us? - Hebrew 11:6; Luke 8:22-25; Luke 18:1-8. This year is pregnant with miracles and possibilities; let's grab them before we miss them. But I know that God is helping us to possess our inheritance as we act or move, after intensive intercession, Hallelujah!
It's a marvelous blessing to have great faith, the longing of every dedicated child of God. But while faith comes by hearing God's Word continually, it is multiplied, fortified and established through regular usage and application. For those new in the Christian faith or walk, you need not ask for more faith but keep putting your present faith to work. Start trusting God to provide your basic needs using relevant scriptures. As you begin to achieve results, your faith and confidence will definitely blossom exceedingly! We can't follow God with our understanding, He doesn't understand that! Proverbs 3:5, 6.
