HOW JESUS HANDLED GOSSIP:

Yes, people spread stories about Jesus and they slandered Him, too. How did Christ handle it? Look at the gospels.

Jesus was brought before the authorities and people bore false witness. They also twisted His words to give false ideas.

How did God respond? Not a word – too bad Christians have never learned that truth. Too bad indeed.

Silence, not a word. Before the Sanhedrin, before a heathen Judge and before King Herod, Christ never defended Himself.

Anyone unbiased was very impressed – Pilate marveled, and he had seen it all. Silence can be very eloquent.

It takes two to fight, and Christ refused to join that game. He let them have their way. They revealed their motives.

Anyone neutral can easily see who is wrong and who is right; evil and insecurity have to accuse, that’s their nature.

Christ had just committed Himself to God, and the Father really can make all things work together for good.

The Almighty can easily exalt the humble and trip up the proud ones; the scripture is full of numerous cases.

So exercise your faith and let God go to work. He can settle accounts far better than any of us – guaranteed.
