Life passes quick - it goes so fast.
When I was young, I thought it would last.
But now that I am in my prime,
I appreciate the march of time.
I appreciate life's brevity
And how time has caught up with me.
I know the day time passes me by
Will be the day that I will die.
In my youth, I didn't realize
How fast life goes - how quick time flies.
But now that I'm approaching old,
"Surprise! Surprise!" by my years I'm told.
