A true and honest friend lives on through a thousand nights
Through spoken storms and sun whispered valleys
A permanent tower of strength where words beckon the two closer
And joy abounds in golden laughter
One close will attend with listening ears
That hold all told in their open hands
Through day and night will tales begin
Quilted together in the everyday
That binds good friends together in life’s fountain promise
A true and honest friend lives on through a thousand nights
In far off lands and aerie dreams of flight
Their kindred souls to frolic to and fro
One foot on grounded land, the other in flowing waters
In the gardens center do they live
Learning and loving and living each day
With splendour and virtue abounding in their fellowship
