Dear friend,
Spiritual dwarfism, lethargy, or stagnation is far more nauseating to God, than physically retarded development is to our earthly parents or guardians. Our heavenly father desires that we mature spiritually to the highest level and exercise the greatest spiritual authority to glorify His name on earth.
Amazing benefits always accompany the proper usage of great spiritual authority. And since the physical is a byproduct and at the mercy of the spiritual, it is therefore very important that we understand what to do. Irrespective of the deplorable state of our physical conditions and circumstances, the proper application of spiritual exercises will change any tide!
Great spiritual authority which, most of the time is the result of sound spiritual maturity, is not primarily determined by how comfortable, healthy or even wealthy we now live, but how much uncomfortable, unhealthy and perhaps poverty ridden situations we have been able to turn around, for ourselves and also for others, through persistent, tenacious and persevering application of God's infallible Word, in the process of prayer, meditation and ministry. Note also that the potential size and magnitude of your ministry, vision or purpose will determine the intensity of your battle for victory and the length of time to accomplish that glorious victory.
It's therefore very unwise to compete or compare yourself with others. Stay away from unhealthy competition, contention and conflicts, which breed jealousy and strife. They blind us and eventually seduce our hearts away from the narrow, delicate path to our unique destinies. Before long we're running in someone else's lane - ready to be disqualified because we become mere copies or duplicates! Be challenged and learn from others, but stay focused on God's best pathway for your own life. That's God's plan and design for every one of us.
Psalm 37:5, 7.
Commit your way to the Lord; Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Psalm 32:8.
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.
As we exercise great discipline to stay in our unique calling, doing exactly what the LORD commands us to do prayerfully and promptly, we become God's inseparable partners in accomplishing His divine purposes on earth. Therefore we become invincible because whoever or whatever touches us touches God. This is the secret of our incredible spiritual authority in the affairs of men.
Psalms 91:1. Paraphrased.
HE WHO dwells in the secret (secluded and quiet) place of the Most High (in prayer and His Word often) shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow (shall live as the inseparable attendant or companion) of the Almighty Jehovah [Whose power no foe can withstand]. - Hallelujah! OUR FOES AND NEGATIVE CIRCUMSTANCES OBVIOUSLY HAVE THEIR LIMITS, WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!
