Itís Time to Love on Jesus

Have you ever considered what God really desires of mankind? First and foremost He desires that we:
Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mr 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
So often we get caught up in the cares of this world that we seem to forget the Lord or at least we donít keep Him first in our lives and love him with all of our heart. We seem to seek what He can do more than just the fact that He is God. We have left our first love. Things crowd in of this world that gains our attention and effort. These things are temporal yet seem so important.
God more than anything wants intimacy with us. He desires a people that will love him more than life itself. He wants a deep personal relationship with each one of us. Instead of constantly seeking his hand to do something for us, we need to be seeking Him and intimacy. Have you ever considered that maybe; just maybe the things you are seeking will not cause you to come closer to God? They actually will feed the flesh and allow you to do things that have no eternal value or worth. God can do anything He wishes at any time. One word from Him and mankind can be on their knees. One word and countries or cities or homes could be totally destroyed. He is a God of love or I think He would have wiped out mankind again though he said that he would never cause a flood like the days of Noah again. Doesnít it make sense that if we do the things that please God that we will have a much better chance of seeing Him move in areas on our behalf? As a parent, are you not more apt to give to your child when they are loving on you instead of demanding?
Maybe you have never experienced what it is like to fall in love with the Lord. Maybe you have never experienced feeling His love engulf every part of your being. This is the most glorious thing that can ever happen to mankind. You have no cares or worries. You are not concerned about anything other than just being able to stay in His presence. I think of the times that I have just gotten lost in worship of Him. I know to some that this makes no sense at all. But once you really taste of the Lord, there is nothing that can compare that the world or the devil can offer. You get spoiled.
The Holy Spirit has been talking to me about worship. We go and ask for prayer many times when we have a struggle over something. Yet, if we could just learn to run to Jesus instead of man we would find the struggle leaves much faster. When we can learn to not give place to the devil but just say devil I am busy as I am going to worship my Lord. You learn to just ignore what the devil is up too and go into worship and praise. When you go there all of the devilís best tricks just fall away. There are times of course that asking for prayer is needed but if we could just learn to purpose in our heart to just go and worship, our lives would be so much calmer and fruitful. Praise does put the enemy to flight. So often the enemy hits us with something and instead of ignoring him we get down on his level. We start allowing the thoughts and think on them. Next thing we know we have become captive to the thought. This takes us into bondage and away from God. If we could just ignore the devil when he comes we would find great spiritual gain in our lives. The Bible says that if we resist the devil that he will flee. It also says that we are to not give place to the devil. Once we learn this our lives will be so much more stable. The best thing that any of us can do is to start falling in love with Jesus and living a life of worship. It is there that we find revelations about things that we must face. It is there that answers come. It is not about commanding God or trying to convince Him of something that you want done. If we can fall in love with Him and show our love through worship, we will find that God will supply and do things much easier for the one who loves him.
