Home is the place where love should always be,
A place of safety and security.
Where you don't have to be good to be loved,
And mercy falls down freely from above.
Where no one points a finger to place blame,
And no one has to feel the sting of shame.
Where pardon can be felt in each embrace,
And Jesus' love shines brightly from each face.
Where each person is trying to be kind,
And leave each other's past mistakes behind.
If unconditional love is given,
A home can feel just a bit like Heaven.
Oh that our home would make the Savior smile,
A loving place to sojourn for a while.
