Finding a purpose in life, I believe, is the goal of every human being living. Every minute of every day humans are rushing around in a frantic pace trying to find their ultimate happiness. Executives, blue collar workers, entertainers, politicians, and other people groups are all on a constant push to find ultimate purpose. I know the feeling all too well, because I fall into the same trap; trying to fulfill the emptiness that is buried in my soul.
So where does one begin to find a ray of light into this issue of purpose and destiny? This is a hard Issue to tackle because it can vary from person to person, and we must be honest to recognize that every person is wired different, and has different goals and dreams.
A great starting point in this search for destiny is the recognition of talents and abilities god-given to each individual. Contrary to popular belief, everyone isn’t the same. Not everyone can sing, act, work oil machinery, is a pushy sales person, and so on. People are amazing because of the plethora of differences that separates each person. If others want to start finding destiny, they have to embrace the talents and gifts given to them. This might sound too simplistic to some, and to others this may be like a cool drink of water; however, denying talents and abilities limits the possibilities available in this big place called earth. Granted, we all must work and make a living, and are not always given the chance to do a “dream” job; however, using the various abilities given each person can enhance and broaden their quality of life.
What dreams do you have? Are there any special talents or gifting you may have. I encourage each reader to go on an inner search and find what might be lurking beneath. I believe that working sustains our life; however, following dreams and gifting helps others truly live. It really doesn’t matter what kind of talent or dream someone has, what matters is if they embrace and follow it. Life can be dull and draining; however adding the spice of talent and dream transforms life into something worth living for.
So do me a big favor-look for what really excites and makes your life come alive. It doesn’t matter what it is, or how trivial it may seem, just go for it. I promise you will be glad you did.
