YOU SEE THE CRACKS
I don’t see the cracks
So tiny
Where light will break through
You do Lord
You prise them gently apart
So a ray of light
Thin and gentle
Shines in
Hard, thick skins
Bear hairline maps
Of fractures to come
You could crowbar them open
And push in your light
To dazzle
But you gently waken
The darkened soul
To your soft light
Soft glow
Warm joy
Pushes open the cracks
For a coming floodlight
