DO WE REALLY KNOW HIM?

Dear friend,
He existed from eternity past, far before the great patriarch Abraham, who rejoiced in expectation of His coming. And when Abraham met Him face to face as it were, as the "King of Justice' and the 'King of Peace", he was glad and privileged to give all he won in the battle, and received an irrevocable blessing!-John 8:56-58; Hebrews 7:1-7. Once again, at the terribly old age of 99 years, Abraham was wild with excitement when the LORD Jesus Christ paid him and Sarah a personal visit in that bright summer day. In humility and great enthusiasm, Abraham ensured that he alone served and waited on the LORD. As a result, old age and bareness submitted absolutely to the Word of the LORD, so, Isaac was born!. In addition, with great reverence, awe and trepidation, Abraham negotiated face to face with the LORD to spare Sodom and Gomorrah to no avail! - Genesis 18:1-33.

Moses, the great author, and one of the greatest leaders in history, was privileged and highly honoured to write about Him! That wasn't strange since he was the ROCK that followed Moses and the children of Israel through that dry, dusty, dangerous, weary wilderness; providing for them water and protection. 1Corinthians 10:2-4. And when God asked Moses to speak to the ROCK, Jesus Christ, to produce water for the people, in anger and frustration, Moses struck the ROCK (Jesus Christ) twice instead! That slight deprived him of entering the Promised Land that God promised him and the Israelites. Deuteronomy 3:23-25; Numbers 20:2-13; John 5:46, 47.

The greatest king that Israel ever produced, King David, bowed at the name of Jesus Christ, calling Him LORD! - Matthew 12:35-37. Finally in Luke 24:27, the LORD Jesus Christ Himself, explained to His disciples how He had always been alive, well and very active in all the scriptures, even from Genesis!

In spite of these remarkable, authentic and awe inspiring revelations, Joseph and Mary also highly privileged and honoured to be used by God, who were the great, great, great and great grand offspring of Abraham, Moses and David, dared to claim that Jesus Christ was their son! They and all humanity saw, and still see Jesus Christ today as that little bright boy who did special miracles in Israel, even after He, Jesus Christ, at age 12 and onwards, cautioned them that His Father's business was His major preoccupation and that He and His Father were one! That the Son of God is also God, because everything produces after its kind! - Luke 2:41-52; John 10:30-42.

It is absolutely unfathomable and very disrespectful therefore, to even imagine that divinity can be sourced from inferior humanity, instead of the other way around; or that human beings can reproduce spirit beings, instead of the other way around. What grievous insult it is for us to ever conclude that man can ever become the father or mother of God, instead of the other way around!

The slight, insults and rejections that resulted from Jesus' deliberate, love motivated condescension, began centuries ago and have continued till date. Yet, not for Himself did he suffer and die, but for you and I that we may be honoured and glorified with blessings and life eternal!

WHO THEN, IS THIS JESUS CHRIST? DO WE REALLY KNOW HIM?

Hebrews 2:14-18.
Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son of God (Jesus Christ) also became a human being-made of flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. We also know that the Son of God did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham. Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

Beware of the subtle seductions and deceptions of religion and the traditions of men! God's infallible Word tells us the absolute truth that we are the sons and daughters of God, just like Jesus Christ and nothing less! It's Jesus Christ our elder brother, who did all these for us, and not the other way around! God is so good to us and we can't thank Him enough, Hallelujah!

Have a marvelous day in God's awesome presence.
