IPeter 2:24. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.
Jesus bore our sins in his own body for us when he hung on the cross and we are dead to sin now because of that. That is wonderful and most all have heard that. But the last part of this verse is what most don't know and have trouble with.
It says "ye WERE healed". Isn't that what it says? Read it in your own Bible and see if it don't say that. What does that mean?
If you were healed, then you are healed, aren't you? Sure you are! Then why do we go to God and ask him to heal us? Because we don't know or believe we are already healed.
Let this scripture open your eyes today to the fact that you are already healed. You may say, then why am I sick? Because you are not taking this scripture and saying it and believing it.
Sickness is out there and we have human bodies that can catch sickness. That's why Jesus provided healing for us. We have to keep sickness away from our bodies with the healing scriptures in the Bible. Healing don't just happen for you because it's in the Bible. We must take our healing according to the Word and stand on that word till that sicknees leaves us and we are well. When you are sick, say, I am healed according to what IPeter 2:24 says. And then quote the verse and thank him you are healed. Keep doing that till you are well. This is how you get your healing.
Remember! You are already healed. The Bible says so.
